Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Injuries are a reason. The club isn’t useless in the market. Gundo didn’t return to play every game. Top players won’t move to sit on the bench and what was the club supposed to do, fuck Stones and Ake off and slot in some other outstanding defender?

Chelsea and the rags bought indiscriminately, spent a fuck load. We follow a different path of a smaller squad because that’s seemingly what the club and Pep believe in. That model has broken records.
What we have is a club that knows full well Ake and Stones are never fit yet has only 5 cbs with 1 of them needed to play at left back because we havent signed one of those for years.

That knows we are light in midfield but doesn't bring in adequate cover for Rodri for about 3 years.

Knows we only have 1 striker at the club so if he stops scoring there are no other options.

In its wisdom operates with a thin squad and when these inevitable issues arise is somehow shocked by it.

This thread.

What posts I've bothered to read are too funny.

We all know who the red nobheads coming on to post are, they stick out like a sore thumb but some city fans posting absolute garbage need to give their head a wobble.

The displays we're getting are what exactly where the team is at the minute. It's ran it's cycle, needs breaking up and new blood injecting into it. It isn't rocket science. We just have to suck it up and crack on.

Not a chance I'll slag the team off. Yes we are piss poor but what are people expecting from a team depleted with injuries, out of form, lacking confidence, inexperienced players trying to take the reins and older players looking a shadow of their former selves.

Ain't no biggie. This year we are in transition, we've had a fuckin belter of it for the past 10 years, maybe we step back, regroup and go again next season.

Fuckin get behind the boys instead of acting like entitled mardarses.

Ffs.. I could have written peps post match interview for him

Same shit different game

He’s proud of that shite !!!??!!
Would you prefer he gives the very media we all hate ammunition to take shots at the club, the players and the management team? Im glad he came out, calm, collected and didn't give them anything to feed on. I'm more bothered that behind closed doors he is able to come up with a solution to the problems.

Those expecting or demanding a fundamental change in how we play to cater for the injuries and bad form will be disappointed. Pep, like all geniuses, make success out of being stubborn bastards. They accept that 95% of the time they will achieve their desired outcomes, whilst 5% of the time they won't (during which times they remain true to their methods and things will eventually revert back to the 95%). We are currently in a 5% period. Eventually it will turn, if the title and CL hopes are gone at that point, so be it.

All of that is already being discussed

But I'm not sure McAtee in and Haaland out is the answer to our problems.

He'll fix it, it's fucking Pep Guardiola for fucks sake.
When has Pep ever been in this situation? Just asking. Anyone not seeing how much trouble we are in is in denial. One can say they are OK with it considering our recent past and all that but the reality is we have a multitude of big problems at the present. One worry has to be is Pep going to regain the upper hand or is he approaching a Wenger period. We're 8 or 9 short. No easy fix for Pep or anyone else.

That is not the plan

CL money goes a huge way to balancing the books.

Think of our huge turnover and then the tiny profit that is made.

No CL next year and no squad overhaul.

what I was saying is this season Champions League maybe over because we are not going to win it with this sqaud and injuries, we must put all our eggs into trying to finishing in the top 4

Whilst there’s no getting away from the situation we’re in I think we’ve been a little unfortunate with the circumstances.

Rodri’s injury obviously the catalyst but then other injuries combined with a tough run of fixtures (7 aways in the last 10, most at places we tend to struggle) sees us where we are currently.

We need players back, we need to still find a way of adapting without Rodri and we need a few gimme home games to get some confidence back.
