Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

One of the main things that has annoyed me tonight are the people responsible for some of the City twitter/X pages. All bunch of self entitled cockwombles

All of them include the Youtube clowns. Most of these guys wouldn't of lasted in the 80-90's when we were shite.
Clowns the lot of them

It's painful on social media, Forget calling themselves City fans ? Everybody knows a true Manchester City can laugh in the face of a crisis and not cry and moan about it

This thread.

What posts I've bothered to read are too funny.

We all know who the red nobheads coming on to post are, they stick out like a sore thumb but some city fans posting absolute garbage need to give their head a wobble.

The displays we're getting are what exactly where the team is at the minute. It's ran it's cycle, needs breaking up and new blood injecting into it. It isn't rocket science. We just have to suck it up and crack on.

Not a chance I'll slag the team off. Yes we are piss poor but what are people expecting from a team depleted with injuries, out of form, lacking confidence, inexperienced players trying to take the reins and older players looking a shadow of their former selves.

Ain't no biggie. This year we are in transition, we've had a fuckin belter of it for the past 10 years, maybe we step back, regroup and go again next season.

Fuckin get behind the boys instead of acting like
finally some fucking semblance of sense on here.
entitled mardarses.

It just goes on…and on…and on.

Not a single player was on song tonight.

Top 4 and - long shot - are now our realistic aims for this season.

Get some reinforcements, clear the sick beds, have a break and re-boot next season.

Not sure about that as the cup in America is as much money as the CL so that is covered
Not being in CL is not an attraction for players.

Club WC is once every 4 years, CL is every year and basically part of the bread and butter for the top sides.

Once you're out it's not easy to get back in.

Unthinkable to miss out at this stage in our development.

Going off on one here but our recent era should have won at least 3 CL's, we have 1. We had some bloody good sides that didn't win it!

No one is winning it if they aren't in it to start with.

Disclaimer - we had father-in-law babysitting and therefore an impromptu first evening to ourselves in ages, so I managed to half watch the game out of the corner of my eye in the boozer we went to but not quite well enough for a decent critical analysis.

My main two thoughts:

- We may as well play with 10 men than have Lewis there on current form.

- Ortega needs to stay in for Ederson long term. No place for sentiment, Eddie has been a great servant but unconvincing again tonight. Ortega deserves to play against United.

Thought their second goal was a good finish to be fair - just a shame their lad was given the freedom of Turin to do it.

Still can’t get too exercised about it all - like most here, been here and done it through the Ball / Coppell / Neal / Clark / Pearce years and once you’ve done that, and then done what we’ve done the last few years, a bit of humility, realism and gallows humour is the order of the day. We’ll be back.

I'm not even sure the team needs breaking up. It needs some changes yes, but not wholesale change. History shows that in almost all circumstances evolution over revolution is the best option
There’s 7/8 at least who have had their time…. Due to poor transfer windows (both in & out) since the treble!!
