Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Juventus don't lose many home games so if we don't qualify it will be the Feyenoord result that cost us
However, regardless of performance, the most worrying aspect is the total lack of pace and energy throughout the team.
Somehow by winning the PL last season we papered over a few cracks which are now being exposed.

Watch the service Haaland got/gets at Dortmund and Norway.

Our tactics and structure will never get the very best out of him if they continue.

Pep is not beyond scrutiny and constructive critism....he's part of the team !!
Agreed, we just don't play to his his strengths, in all games number of times he makes runs off the back of CH and we don't play the through ball fall him

Can't believe we'll still comfortably qualify with a win against Brugge, even if we lose against PSG. We've been nowhere near good enough to justify reaching the knockouts but this new system is set up to keep struggling big teams around for as long as it can. PSG, Juve, City, etc. will all get big benefits. Real Madrid as well.

Better win fucking Sunday is all I’m saying

I don't see it. We can't defend, are wide open to just a simple ball over the top. Ederson had turned into Margetson ( Sulking about not getting the Saudi move? ) and even Ortega is looking shaky, but prime Gordon Banks would be behind that defence. The midfield is slow and ponderous and we are toothless in attack barring Haaland. It appears the shit show we put in against the rags at Wembley wasn't us hungover, taking our foot off the ball or a one off it, it was the start of our decline. We are so bad I might put a punt on Salford City to beat us in the cup.

Many comments on here are spot on observations of a team and coach who have lost their way,and not emotional or personal.

Pep does not escape scrutiny or critism.

The very recent past & here/now is a legitimate concern

It's mostly people unable to cope with a bad period by the team.

It's been two months of problems.

Two months out of a near a decade of dominance for the wet wipes to air their 'legitimate concerns.'

Our transitions are far too slow. By the time we get within shooting distance there are 17 or 18 players in the box making it easy for defenders to block passes, crosses and shots. How many players are in our box when we concede goals? Rarely more than half a dozen. It's just so obvious what we are doing wrong but Pep doesn't see it.

Injuries have had an impact agreed, but that doesn't mean the rest of the team turn to shit. Mistakes, lethargy, no pressing, no ideas all in abundance, all over the pitch right now.

The team has run themselves into the ground to achieve what they have.

Many hardly had any break between seasons.

With injuries they've been unable to rest.

They're clearly fucked, mentally and physically.

I think you should all do what I've been doing the last few games, back the opposition, good odds, I've made a good few quid from it up to now.
The last time I did that was the City v Watford final! I could have won £160 instead of losing a tenner.

The luck that any team needs in order to succeed has vanished. The chances for Erling and the Gundog drive would have delivered a 2-2. Why can't Juve have a goalkeeper from the Hans Seegers school of goalkeeping?
