Juventus travel package

I didnt fancy the risk so i'm staying in Turin on the day of the game, then getting the train back to Milan the day after.

I'm gonna book to go Milan to watch AC vs AS Roma after hopefully seeing City in Turin! Can't wait for it, worried about getting tickets as I only have just under 2000 points - hoping my friends season ticket holders aren't going!

you can find details of the itailan train times and prices on their rail site

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.trenitalia.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.trenitalia.com</a>

it is also in english for the non italian speakers

at the top of the menu bar - think that what is called is

trenitalia - you can get train times and prices

frecciarossa - this is the link for the hi speed trains, with prices and option to purchase

if buying at station - can be a long time buying from ticket office - very slow

you must vaidate your ticket before travelling - yellow boxes on wall which stamp tickets - failure to do so means a hefty fine on train - no excuse for being british.

if travelling from milan, the station and surrounding area is full of pick pockets and not the best of places to be around after dark, bad enough during the day - turin not much better.

turin is one of the countries richest areas, italys power house for industry. most bars in italy sell german beer on draught.

if you are in turin and want to beat the booze ban look on map find a nearby town get a train ticket and head off there. local tickets very cheap.

if you get a bus in the city or any town you have purchase the ticket before getting on the bus - usaully at the fag or paper shop. validate on entering in the machine or fine

sometimes you can buy ticket on bus but you must have correct change and know what the price the bus driver has told you in italian

if you want to know anything about juventus team and ground <a class="postlink" href="http://www.juventus.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.juventus.com</a> - english link

juventus are very poor, after watching them in bari on the 28th august paint drying offered more excitment and bari are an average side.

ps juve fans or the ultras hate the english not just those of liverpool since hysel and the polie arent as friendly as the british.

We're flying to Milan early thursday morning, then train to Turin

One of the lads who's been to Milan several times suggests that if we go out boozing in Milan we'll each need to take out a second mortgage. So we're gonna head to Turin and find a hotel there

However I'm not sure he knows about the licensing restrictions so might need to have a re-think !!

are you going from manchester (flybe) to milan , arriving 1.05pm ... then you get a bus directly outside terminal 1 which goes to milan centrale (8 euros) and then get the inter-city to turin (30 euros)... arriving turin 4.10pm ish... as with other comments on here, the police in north italy arent as bad (or fascist??) as rome, however they like to show they can "control the english" by getting the batons out if need be... best thing is to spread out and mingle in ths bars and make your own way in - at least an hour before kick off... it's not the kind of place to take over the sqaures and get all giddy as that attracts the wrong kind of attention - from their ultras and from the old bill... afterwards we can expect to be kept in for an hour. the rags were kept in an hour when they won 3-2 that time and still had problems when they were getting out, daytrippers should have no problems, liverpool were kept in 3 hours but thats probably because of the history of the fixture.

No, we're flying from Gatwick at 7:10am, which will be a treck in itself !!

Arrive at Milan Malpensa airport at 10am local time and then its a 48km journey in Milan, unless there is transport direct from the airport to Turin

Are there any Skiers / Boarders going to this game? The lifts open in Sauze D'oulx on 4th December (snow levels permitting). Sauze is about 75 minutes drive from Turin, and I know there will be a few bars and restaurants operating as I know a few ex-pats who live and work out there. The slopes, though, will be empty during the working week though, so you could have the mountains to yourself.

My thoughts are to go out on the Sunday or Monday b4 the game, rent a car, drive up to Sauze and ski for 4 or 5 days, and obviously drive down the mountain on the thursday for the game.

If anyone is interested, then PM me.
