Firstly, this is my own personal opinion.
Does anyone else feel there is more to come with the Kaka situation in relation to City?
I find the silence deafening, its all about Chelsea and Madrid and we havent even been mentioned apart from on here. Then this mystery big money bid comes from Chelsea that they then deny. Where would they get that money from? £75m plus £10m a year, say a 4 year contract, thats £115m in total. I just cant see Chelsea being able to spend that on one player.
If Kaka was now available as it seems he is, then why wouldnt we be back in for him? I think somewhere in the mist of this affair the bid from Chelsea has been misinterpreted, and i think that bid may have been from us. Chelsea seemed to be adamant they hadnt made the bid, and dropped a little dig that the money was a bit ridiculous.
Its common sense that Milan would prefer to sell Kaka to City than Madrid. Even the Madrid part of it smells funny, one day it seemed he had signed for them, a pretty wild accusation if there was no truth in it whatsoever. Perhaps there was a deal in place but something else has come up recently and thats why there is this degree of uncertainty.
Add this together with City's policy of wanting to keep quiet, and the mistakes made last time when we had the rioting in Milan, which they will obviously want to avoid again this time - it may be wishful thinking but to me it all fits together.
Betfred are offering 20-1 for City to sign Kaka during this window, i for one am sticking a punt on it.
