Kalidou Koulibaly

To be fair, Kompany was also extremely prone to making rash challenges, comes with the territory being an aggressive, front-foot defender

True and it’s a shame Stones never learnt from the great man. The amount of times I’ve been screaming at him to commit a foul when we’ve been stretched only for him to back pedal almost to his own 6 yard box whilst the opposition team scored.

Let's be honest, when clubs hear of the sums talked about for Messi, then it's understandable if they feel they can try to get more money out of us.
"we're not paying another penny for him", " go use some of the gazillions you have for Messi then"

If Diego Carlos or Ruben Dias are the only realistic alternatives then I'd be inclined to wait this one out.
You may be right but losing 9 games tells it's own story. That said, i do think losing Dhino from his natural berth merely added to our defensive woes. Plus, the 'leadership' factor in VK was equally a massive miss.

come on City, we haven’t got time for childish games. If you don’t want to do businesses with Napoli then focus on another target.

What are our serious options if this does not happen.....it seems there’s positives and negatives from this deal but the best positive would be screwing ADL over!!

I’ve heard various reports about Diego Carlos and I wasn’t too impressed during recent games, I preferred his centre back Kounde based on what I saw. The other I have heard mentioned is Dias but I know next to nothing about him either.

If the right player at the right price isn't available, we'll go with what we have. Said it from day one.

If it’s not happening today then I think this is off. Both teams need to start planning for their squad. The league starts very soon and both us and Napoli have other business.

If it’s only about 10m in difference they should be able to find an agreement. Rumour says we offer 70m plus bonuses and Napoli wants 80.

We need to be a bit realistic. ADL turned down 110m only a year ago from United. It’s not realistic to believe he would drop down to 65m. I think 75m will be the sweetspot and honestly not horrible. 75m is the release clause of Diego Carlos and he is shit. Plus Stones and Otamendi will be sold, so we’ll get about 35m for them, maybe 40. I honestly can’t understand why this is so hard.
