No more than it's a shot at KDB or Bernardo Silva.
None of whom can do what Fernandinho used to do & we have no replacement for him.

Does anyone here seriously thinks Rodri has been on the same level as Fernandinho 2017-2019? I like Rodri, but he definitely has room for improvement.

Great player - but Soyuncu would be even more expensive than Koulibaly, so I can’t see us paying more for our second choice than we were willing to for our first choice.

If depends on whether it's true that City are willing to offer that & whether DL has said 70 mil plus bonuses rather than trying to get 90 mil.
If both are true then it'll probably get done.

I’ve defended the signing of Koulibaly from day one, but approaching 70m for a 29-year old and it’s beginning to sting, a lot. Wouldn’t mind Soyuncu, top defender and fast as hell. Question is whether 70m would be enough.
