Couldn’t complete the job and ran out of minerals. I watched this and at 2-0 they should have closed the game out. They didn’t and were seriously underpowered in midfield. That allowed a couple of runs at the defence which always looks in difficulty without the usual wall in front of them. They did not play well over the 90 mins and got what they deserved.
Lets be truthful, on another day they would have won by a cricket score. I actually think the home game against Atletico was easily one of their best performances of the season, it just wasn't their night.
I have seen them plenty of times play below par and scrape a victory in the last few mins. Its swings and roundabouts.
People should not base their opinion solely on the result only, have a look at the performance also.
It is like when assessing a player on the basis of stats only and not on the basis of the eye test as well.
City have had plenty of games where we have played brilliantly and drawn or even lost the game. That's football. You win some, you lose some.
