Touch wood he doesnt get injured once we sign him. Otherwise we are fucked up. If he plays to the standard we hope even for 2/3 years he will be worth every pennies. I am not sure about his leadership qualities though. We need that one as well.

I actually think Barcelona will now stump up what we want for Eric Garcia. They desperately need an injection of youth. After last night they can't afford to wait another year.

Based on their CL performances, Upemecano is a far better buy than Khoulibaly, with the age difference being amazing.

Fear Khoulibaly isn’t what we need. He’s a big unit, no doubt, but record signing at age 29? Not good business...esp after him giving his best years to Napoli for a £5M transfer fee to Genk!

Upemecano just upped his contract for 2 more years, so now’s the time to strike to, at a minimum, get to the front of the queue for down the road, if we can’t get him now.
