;D
Piss off!
I don't think Kompany had even notably dipped, despite his injury and age. He'd play well, get injured, come back, look like he's never been out of the team, and then get injured again. And repeat. Whatever flaws that were present in his game in his later years were there prior for me. It's just he was so injury prone you were gambling on him being available all the time.
So if a crock like Kompany can still keep to his high levels at a later age with a horrible injury record, then there's no reason someone like Koulibaly can't either.
But some are more equal than others :)We are all equal.
i think 93:20 said this would be done by next week. Im pretty sure he has been spot on in the past with transfers and the media reports are starting to lean that way as well.
Of course anything could happen and someone could come in and blow us out of the water with an offer to Koulibaly or Napoli but signs are positive.
You need to know the difference between pounds and euro's my friend.I know a lot more goes into a transfer than any of us will ever know but these reports always make me laugh. Like they've been given a heads up from Txiki while he continues searching under every sofa.
"Sixty nine million eight hundred and ninety three thousand nine hundred and eighty eight pounds and ninety three pence..."

Another journalist?

Sorry if I was unclear but my point was that if Kompany with a batch of injuries can still keep to his level then Koulibaly without them should too. I'd assume unless he becomes a crock then he'd be playing many games a season. It's a good comparison but I think the context of the overall squad is also important. Kompany averaged about 40 games a season for his first 6 years and 20 games a season for his last 4 years. The price we'd pay for Koulibaly means we'd need for him to contribute more than 20 games a season I think, given the relative balance of the money around the squad and the available backup options.
Is that his/her username? 93:20? Never recall seeing them postNo......... a long term poster on this forum with a proven track record
?then there are pigs
I'm guessing it's a reference to Animal Farm, but I could be wrong.
he is beast.
the best defender in the league next season .
remember this.
Could I respectfully request small u for united, small l for liverpool, and the same for anfield and old toilet. ThanksOnly us City fans can downplay going after a defender with the reputation of Kalidou Koulibaly. If United and Liverpool were going for him their fans would label him as the next "Maldini" coming to Anfield/Old Trafford.
I dislike arrogance but our fans need to have a little more self belief and self arrogance in how good we are and what we've won over the years. We aren't that little club anymore.
If we are to be considered one of the big boys in World Football attitudes have to follow suit with it.

Who cares about what a 29 year old costs, we aren't here to penny pinch- we want to become the best team on Earth and to do that we need to spend whatever it takes on proven quality. If Van Dijk was being sold from Liverpool for 63 million- Liverpool would have their pants pulled down and he's the same age as KK.
central defenders best years are 28-32.tend to agree, getting his peak years, where he brings much needed steel but most importantly, a calming influence for Laporte...
