No offense taken.

A lot of talk of Raphinha having a release clause to DeBlueLou not long ago.

€25mil if relegated and €70mil if not I think it was. This was reported by many reliable sources like Fabrizio Romano for ages.

Not true, our local Journalists always said it wasn't true and turned out they were correct and eventually it became public knowledge, lots of backtracking and our DOF then confirmed it.

Our reliable local Journalist has said the same regarding KP, no release clause exists only a relegation clause so can only go on someone whose always been reliable for us.

And even if there was a release clause it would need to be more than £55mil because Kalvin's agent Kevin Sharp confirmed we rejected a club record offer for him from West Ham in January which was for an amount around the £50-55mil mark.

So either way you would need to pay around the £60mil mark.

I am not itk so maybe I am wrong and your reliable sources on here are right, it's possible but highly unlikely based on the evidence I'd say.

The bit in bold is interesting.

It's eerily similar to the Grealish stuff last Summer - Villa saying there wasn't a release clause (to the point of not even telling City apparently!!) - and certain journalists being adamant there was which turned out to be true.

I'm sure it was a 'Champions League club' release clause too which is probably more popular than we realise. If it's the same for Phillips then that would explain being able to turn down the massive West Ham bid from January too.

We'll see what happens. I can't see us spending £60m for Phillips given he wouldn't be an automatic starter in the team and that, believe it or not, is a lot of money to City given it'd put him in the top 5 most expensive players in our history.

It'll be interesting to see. If there's a release clause and it's as low as being leaked then we love a release clause and it's a bargain. If not, it won't happen...IMO.

It's almost identical so far... It was also his agency (Stellar) that leaked the clause... What's different this time? Someone is leaking and talking about another clause... wonder who... ;)

True. I don’t think we’ll get him cheaply, but given the extra length of service we got from Fernandinho and the fact that we appear to have identified him as the one we want, then I’m sure it will be a fair price/deal for all parties.
Stellar leaked Jacks "hidden" clause that no journo knew about... What's saying they won't do the same this time? If it is the same situation, which i looks like thus far.

Awful suggestions. We are losers in each of these deals. Bernardo is better than FDJ in terms of pressing and many things off the ball, Felix is not a midfielder. We are extremely short in midfield when we would be able to make that kind of deal. Extremely, extremely stupid suggestions to swap Bernardo with any of these players. It would be a disaster. I don't know why many people here are in love with players like Felix or Frenkie De Jong. Neat, tidy players with zero personality and character. Bernardo has to stay. Anyway, City has said Barca that they will not swap Bernardo with FDJ, in terms of Felix it would be a masterpiece of the stupidity to swap midfielder on a false 9 and stay extremely short in terms of midfield.
I don't want Bernardo to leave at any price but the fact remains that he has issues about living here and IF he wants out, who is going to pay the price?

Who will pay for Bernardo Silva 90-100M£? Especially not from England? Serious question. Because people are talking nonstop how he is unhappy and wants to leave while nobody in the world would pay 90-100m£ for him.
Bernardo being unhappy was last summers talk and it was because of mainly the pandemic.

The reports as of late are saying hes very happy and hes got his GF here now... And its reported hes closer to extending than leaving. Old news that he's unhappy.

He is an average Premier League midfielder.
Not against it though as he would bring some good defensive and combative qualities to our midfield. Also there's a decent technical player in there(beats press well and is a good long passer) so definitely something for Pep to work with.

You say he's average yet proceed to lay forward why he isn't average, haha! :)

Goal and assist output - terrible
Chance creation - 1 every 2 games the lowest of any Leeds mid, same rate as Ruben Dias a cb.
Pace - none
Aerial ability - comparable numbers to little B.Silva
Injury record - getting worse
He's a defensive mid, for god's sake... Pace, hes actually very mobile. Injury record is actually good as the ones hes got arent reoccuring. Compare his arieal ability to Fernas.

You arguments aren't solid here, mate.
