I’m not guessing as much as knowing the Pep mentality and how his squads are built. Especially coming in on a large fee, you can expect him to be given a lot of game time and that only decreases if he can’t perform as expected. It’s really depressing to think about LMAO as we say in Brazil, best to laugh than to cry…
What you are describing is guessing based on assumptions and interpretations from what you've seen and read, just like the rest of us. Like I said, he will get his fair share of minutes to prove himself, but my guess is that he would be more ready to accept to not start the majority of games than someone like Rice, who is more likely to cause problems when his on the bench more often than starting, and he would probably turn us down anyway with his boyhood club Chelsea in the mix. I also doubt Pep cares much about the transfer fee, Grealish would have got the same amount of minutes regardless if he cost 10m or 100m. But again, all of this is just my guess that could obviously be wrong. Just like your guess.

That's a big call.
Ajax spend as much as the rest of the League combined, and twice as much as their nearest competitor.
Be interesting to see if he is the next , new messiah.
It’s not a big call, I’m only saying a good manager can do a job of putting a decent to good team together. Chelsea were in the shit with Lampard, brought Tuchel mid season and months later they won the Champions League with the same squad. Good managers make a difference. Also it’s not like United will have a problem spending big for him

If you guys don’t want him he can stay where he’s appreciated.

Honestly I think he’d be great cover for Rodri and would suit your system very well. If he has to leave I think City would be the most tolerable destination (compared to say the rags). Problem of course is he’s worth more to us than he would be to you.

You are saying he is a good manager who will make United Successful.
They have spent big for all the previous managers since Fergie.
We will see.

I swear Phillips plays for League 2 with the talk on here. There is a reason we are signing a player who has played under Biesla. Pep knows exactly what he is getting and I don't doubt him. If Pep wanted De Jong, we would have been in for him, but he doesn't. I despise comparisons between players because there is just no way (specially in non attacking ones) to compare them in different teams with different style of football.

It's the typical people wanting someone from abroad as it's a sexier signing. Phillips will be a great signing. He adds exactly what we need, has already played in a system similar to Peps and can play both #6 and #8.

De Jong is a good player, but he's been fairly average at best since he's gone to Barcelona. The papers might say otherwise, but he isn't the sticking plaster who will suddenly transfer United's midfield.

The rumor is that Rice is a Chelsea fan who wants to join Chelsea, and Chelsea are likely to bid for him and offer the security in mins a player of his reputation wants. I just think City have chosen to try get an alternative who wants to come here and accepts that Rodri is main guy as CDM. But thats just my simple layman's guess, I obviously have no clue if thats really the case:)

Rice and his camp have wanted Chelsea to move in for 3 windows now. United have asked and gotten put on the long finger.

If Pep called rice would run, but there’s very little interest our end due to money and expectations of playing time considering Rodri is our guy.
