I mean we'll have to see. But im gonna bet my money on what the City itks are referring to. We will revist this in a while.

One last thing; care to explain why KP is changing to Stellar? To stay at Leeds?
Could easily be to help him get the best contract he can from us.

Agents don't just deal with transfers.

Could be using Stellar and the contacts they have to help him negotiate contracts outside of football.

Without seeing his contract absolutely no one knows what it has on it so whilst I can't say it definitely doesn't have some secret clause in it neither can your itk people either?

But answer me this.

Why would a Championship contract have a release clause for a Champions League club in it?

If it is as low as you claim, £20-30mil which gets you very little in England let's be honest, why has it taken 3 years for it to be activated despite Kalvin experiencing a massive growth in reputation over that time?

Why would we reject a £55mil offer in January when we knew he could go for almost half that in the summer?

Grealish insisted on one when he was a Premier League player but the Villa board made it massively high. Why would KP insist on one in the Championship and why would we agree to make it no more money than we accepted of Villa?

If it exists and I really do doubt it then I would be amazed if it is anywhere near as low as you guys think.

I'd expect £60mil at the very least

Im not gonna answer you bibel here mate.
Again, we will revisit this in a few weeks.

£20/£30M is a lot of money for a championship player (and club).

True but we had already shown we would accept that sort of offer as we did from Villa.

No need for Kalvin to ask for a release clause of a valuation we'd already shown we would accept?

Hate to keep going back to him but Grealish insisted on the clause having seen a few potential big moves come to nothing over the last few seasons.

That hadn't happened to Kalvin at the time he signed his deal and we had actually shown willing to let him go.

But Grealish allowed Villa to put in an extortionate clause so that it was win win. If anyone activated it it meant he had had a decent season and Villa got a lot more money than he was likely worth.

If Kalvin insisted on this special clause then I would expect us to 1) look for far more than we asked Villa for because why wouldn't you? And 2) I don't think Kalvin would insist on a fee that would shaft his boyhood team.

Anyhow I need to go walk my dog.

:-)

My last comment for the time being.

Most LUFC fans would likely accept KP going if that is his wish and it wasn't to someone like Manure and aslong as we got a fair price.

The talk of £20mil and £30mil in this market wouldn't be a fair price when players like Ake go for £40mil and Ben White went for £50mil.

Kalvin has seen his reputation grow massively over the last few years and been named England's mens player of the year the same year England reached our first international final in decades.

Aslong as the money involved reflected all that I think most Leeds fans would accept it and wish him well.

How much do you think Jack Harrison was worth to you now?

We discounted his sale as part of the Phillips interest. We originally set it at £18m but settled for £11m because Leeds needed to do more business.

Harrison's goal on final day was probably worth £200m to you ;)

Leeds wouldn’t have known about Grealish clause and the amount though mate? It’s now or never for him imo and I think it’s extremely telling he’s moving agency to where other city players are as well? Lots of England teammates at city, the best manager in the world, champions league football no matter what and going for trophies every season? No disrespect but don’t think he fancies fighting relegation again
