Kamala Harris

I don’t see how you can say he is pro trump. Have you seen/ read some of the comments he had made in the past??

Really think a long form interview should be a prerequisite for all candidates. She could use it to make her case.
always had that feeling he was, maybe im wrong! but ur statement ... agree with. If not Joe Rogan ... send em to Piers for a grilling. Do you condemn Hamas, or in this case, do you condemn Putin.

Rogan is 100% motivated by commercialism. If he were to have Harris on, his audience would want a pig-sticking. I don't think he would provide it, as while I cannot stand him on a wide variety of levels, he's smart enough to know his act is an act and, more important, she knows it is too. As such, I think she'd make boring, guarded copy, which doesn't benefit her nor him. This isn't Meet The Press -- it's Joe Rogan's Conspiracy Circus, and he knows that's what sells and she knows it doesn't sell her.

And is exactly why Trump is a perfect fit for his show.

Which is one of the many reasons no one should take anything Rogan says or does seriously.

Well he's hosted guests like Bernie Sanders, Tyson, and Elon Musk—individuals who are far from adored by his typical fanbase but brought substantial numbers/viewers and also sparked wide-ranging conversations.

Regarding your point about an "act" Rogan’s approach is different to others... one thing he does is he allows guests to explain their views in detail rather than engaging in aggressive debate. which is prob a bore to most.

Anyone who is still at the 'But Harris is/isn't/will/won't < delete as necessary and fill in the blanks> side of the argument doesn't understand the consequences of a Trump election victory.
Or they very much do understand the consequences and want them to be realised, but do not have the integrity to publicly admit it.

Again, anyone arguing that Trump, Vance, and the MAGA movement more generally are not fascist at this point are exceedingly ignorant, dangerously naive, or simply intellectually dishonest in service of their own aims (usually to indirectly or directly support Trump).

The first segment of this episode of On The Media (NPR series) is a great listen for anyone interested. It features a professor of Philosophy at Yale University who has written several books about fascism. He actually highlights how many aspects of MAGA rhetoric, policies, and governmental actions are straight from Nazi Germany. And how refusing to acknowledge that, or even call it what it is, is similar to what happened in the 1920s, when many refused to recognise the danger of the rhetoric and promised policies and actions Hitler and his surrogates were espousing, which helped the Nazis rise to power and commit myriad atrocities.

Fascism, Fear and the Science Behind Horror Films

Host Brooke Gladstone speaks with Jason Stanley, a professor of Philosophy at Yale University and who has written several books on fascism. He first warned about Trump's fascist rhetoric in 2018, and explains why it's more important than ever to call it by its name.

I think there is certainly a strong shade of facism with them, but not quite Nazism which isn't exactly the same thing. A lot of the RW populists do tend to slip across that line from nationalism/patriotism to facism. However, having seen the stuff from the rally I actually think they are quite deliberately trolling people like you. You are taking the bait hook line and sinker. Carry on, I doubt it has political significance what watching you flap does have some comedic value.

It's only if they admit it in the privacy of your nations ballot boxes that matters. I'm not sure a load of English city supporters are about to change the destiny of the USA

Spoken like a true “Good German”.

And by people like me, you mean respected scholars and policital analysts?

That is a very strange take, especially given Trump and co already carried out (or attempted to carry out) fascist action in his first term.

Another instance of you spouting nonsense about a subject you know little about and then claiming everyone else is “throwing a tantrum” calling you out.
