Kamala Harris

@SebastianBlue

As I suspected, you can't.

I think there is certainly a strong shade of facism with them, but not quite Nazism which isn't exactly the same thing. A lot of the RW populists do tend to slip across that line from nationalism/patriotism to facism. However,having seen the stuff from the rally I actually think they are quite deliberately trolling people like you. You are taking the bait hook line and sinker. Carry on, I doubt it has political significance what watching you flap does have some comedic value.
You do post some interesting and thought-provoking stuff (sometimes) and I think I'd welcome sharing a pie and a pint with you. I agree that the liberal-left can get paranoid about many things and I agree that "You Fascist!" gets thrown around as an insult so often that it can lose its meaning. And I distrust hyperbole, so I hope you're right in what you say here. But I think you're mistaken. I spent my professional life (teaching) getting kids to interpret evidence and make reasoned analytical arguments and it's by those standards that I've come slowly but steadily to the view that Trump is indeed a Fascist and that there are similarities between what's happening here in America now and what happened in Germany's Weimar Republic in the early 1930s. History doesn't exactly "repeat itself" but there are echoes of it, and that's what we've got here in 2024 from 90 years ago. I hope I'm wrong. But I'd rather be wrong and be a source of "comedic value" than be proven right too late if the modern Fascist gets in again.

Not flapping, just thinking.

By the way, you spelled "Fascist" wrong (again?) which doesn't do wonders for your argument.

"Country over Party"

"We might disagree but I won't exclude you from the debate..."

How much influence are our Labour party having over her campaign?

:)
Interesting, isn’t it. We hear many things that were in Labours campaign. Are they copying or using Labours influencers?

It makes me wonder.

MSNBC just showed a snippet of her DC speech and it sounded pure Starmer. Along with a picture of her with "Country over Party" on a billboard behind her.
