Kaoru Mitoma

'Has potential' are certainly not words used for a 26 year old.
They absolutely are.

Potential isn’t like it is on FIFA or Football Manager, you don’t only improve when you’re young. He has the ability to improve, therefore he has potential.

There is potential in Kovacic even though he’s nearly 30 as I think he can be even better than he has been.

Ok Hannah Montana.

Interesting one. Bloom normally won’t negotiate but waits until a bid arrives and then just says deal or no deal. However, if he wants one of our players too that strategy may have to change.

Id love Mitoma but I also want to keep our lads. Tricky.
It would prefer a loan rather than a sale, I suspect Brighton will want a permanent deal though.

He's a late starter and only has about 150 senior career appearances; he's actually played slightly fewer professional games than 21-year-old Gvardiol. Absolutely tons of potential for him to improve based on his lack of experience and top-level coaching so far in his career
All of the above is spot on, and also, his body would have lower mileage on it (compared to other 26yro football players), so he could easily play till the mid-30s at the highest level.

We’d be getting a £40m player for £80m…

Cucurella cost over 60m.
Havertz cost 65m.
Rice cost 105m.

We also bid 80m plus 10m add ons for Rice.

80m for Mitoma isn't exactly unreasonable. He's a top quality footballer.

Both are good players. The only difference is Paqueta seems the more versatile player and Mitoma might not be attainable this season.
