Kaoru Mitoma

Romano declared the Premier League table-toppers will have to fork out at least £35m for Mitoma's signature.

that was fab in February, so wouldnt start at 60 either.

At 35m, they would make 14 times what they paid for a player that was effectively a 6 month stop-gap cover for Trossard. They would bite your hand off.

What honestly does 30m buy you nowadays?

Southampton are wanting 50m for Lavia that has played 1 full season in the premier league.

It buys you Mahrez, a treble winner world class player. Who also had 2 years left on his contract, but is an infinitely better and more established player. Gets you Kovacic, with all the quality and experience he brings.

Should get you something like this but with the way interest rates are going, you might want to pay the 30m outright.

I suggest sending Phillips the other way to save some p.

Mitoma is a player that is exciting, and has had a great couple of months. You are right, albeit very briefly, he has shown quality. I agree entirely there.

You are however wild suggesting an 80m fee for him. All else considered, that's just bonkers.

While I don't think Paqueta is worth near that either, I can ar least see that price for him given, his profile, where he is and the state of his contract.

We haven't been linked with Mitoma, and there is no mention of a fee. We've been linked with Paqueta and a figure has been mooted. Happy to focus on that bud.
tbf paying 80 mil for paqueta is just as insane as paying it for mitoma. paqueta looks like more of an athlete but mitoma has that strange tight space vibe like silva which is a much rarer ability. paqueta has the brazilian flair that really doesnt translate into pep ball but i guess well see. its def fun to watch.

also why do you bring up the state of contract that goes against your argument. mitoma has 2 years left and paqueta has 4

As far as the players go, I agree entirely.

As far as them as purchases go, I can understand why Paqueta would cost 80m to get, while Mitoma 30-35m. The years on their contract matter, and directly affect their price.

sorry youre right. i completely blipped on the contract logic lol. shorter contract equals cheaper i dunno what i was getting at.

Don't really rate him, lightweight, gives the ball away and terrible defensively. Think he owes a debt of gratitude to Alexander-Arnold's total unwillingness to defend for the hype he got last season. He's better than Grealish in the same way Cucurella was "better" than Zinchenko.
