Reminds me of Kompany where hes always first to the ball, making sure the striker doesnt get a first touch in.

By all accounts Rekik had a stormer today on his league debut.

Just watched the highlights from his Champions League game. He has incredible composure with the ball and is not far behind Nasty based on this performance. In years to come he and Nasty may well rotate for the central role with Vinny.
Rekik has been praised by Dutch press and is often named as a serious candidate for the Dutch NT, mostly because Bruno Martins Indi and de Vrij currently are in a horrific shape. He's not part yet of the pre-selection for the friendly against Portugal, but that was made before the games against Zulte and ADO. Louis van Gaal was visiting the match against ADO and I would not be suprised if he would be in the final selection.
It would be great if he gets World Cup experience.

Lets not get carried away like they do over here in Holland. Rekik so far is an 18 year old, loaned by City to PSV, and he has played 2 official games for his club so far. He started of great, but please lets try and judge the lad over a season. If he continues to do well and ends up earning a WC-ticket with the Dutch squad, he will have deserved it and City will gain from his experience.
