Kayky | On loan at Sparta Rotterdam (P19)

I'd forgotten that piece, I'd also forgotten how unlucky Mason was.

Mason underwent a successful operation on the head injury,[47] and throughout the rest of 2017 went through a rehabilitation process in an attempt to return to playing. After the operation he had 14 metal plates in his skull, with 28 screws holding them in place. He also had 45 staples and a six-inch scar across his head.[48] On 13 February 2018, it was confirmed that due to risks associated with the extent of Mason's injury, he would be retiring from professional football.[49][50]

He was an okay player and it was genuinely very sad how his career ended.
For Hoddle to turn round and compare him to Fernandinho, though, was laughable even in 2015, even more so now and is a perfect demonstration of why he hasn’t been considered for any serious coaching position for decades

He must show something in training that we don't see playing for the EDS.

Either that or we're down to bare bones again (relative to our squad strength).
Prob his time in the rotation to give them the routine/experience of the matchday. Edozie is out, McAtee still out.

Bobb might have been a shout as well.
