Keir Starmer

Laffer was discredited many years ago.
There isnt a single point in time in modern UK history where a cut in the highest level of income tax didnt raise the government more money in tax revenue. Raising tax for the rich has never increased tax revenue by anything like the amount predicted either.
If you want the rich to pay their fair share of tax - land tax is the way forward.
If you want multinationals to pay their fair share of business tax then turnover tax based on business sector is the way forward.
Neither can be dodged.

"What influence has the PM's unelected adviser had on the PM's claim that our track and trace system would be world-beating?"

"Other than by setting an awful precedent, does his adviser believe in encouraging people to follow instructions on lockdown and keeping R down as part of his civic duty?"

I can see where you're coming from and Starmer might go down that route. But Johnson will expect that and will bat it away with typical flimflam and besides it's already becoming yesterday's news.

Starmer needs to keep the fat fool guessing, play the capable, articulate, statesman, look to the future, that sort of thing.

So far I think Johnson has been expecting the questions and has still faltered.

I don't disagree with your arguments apart from Laffer is laughed at nowadays.

Try not to be a Capitalist shill, that's my advice to all on here because unless you are a billionaire the system does not work for you

Capitalist shill?
As anything that isn't mainly capitalist crashes and burns all I can say is "pathetic".

Yep, no hope is there when the capitalists have so convinced the masses that handing their surplus value to them is the right and proper thing to do.

They have you convinced, you are not alone though.

The majority of people, hard working folk, I would have thought like your good self cling to the capitalist myth in hope rather than good judgement.

Its Ok thought mate, I don't blame you, I don't blame the overwhelming majority of people who have ended up as shills for a system run by those with capital for those with capital.

I just wish one day the people would wake up and see the con for what it is, I wont hold my breath though.

You take care kidda, the system is close to collapse and I don't wish the repercussions of that on anyone

Thanks for the laugh.

What about
Does the prime minister think labour is a party of hypocrisy who call out others for breaking the rules while doing so themselves?

Is calling a married man over from his family home for a shag acceptable as long as the 2m rule is obeyed?

Does the prime minister think it’s is acceptable for an mp to attend a funeral with 100 other people when clearly against lockdown rules?

Is it acceptable to pop from wales to London to your dads for birthday cake if he used to lead the Labour Party?

If Cummings is sacked would the prime minister be open to another referendum on the eu?

Remember Corbyn at PMQ liked to read out ordinary people's questions?

Any helpful suggestions for Starmer on Wednesday?

"

This week I received a letter from Fake nurse Kate from Foodbankshire...

"Can you ask the Prime Minister why the government aren't even capable of ordering enough PPE for NHS staff at a time when worldwide demand exceeds supply?"

Capitalism has done a great job in convincing people it doesn’t really work for that there is no other way.....

It was a point made in Sapiens* which I think is a really interesting way of looking at it

Highly recommended by the way. It’s about the past, present and future of homo-Sapiens

Ok that’s fine then
Let’s just wait for a second wave in dipper land and blame Boris and Cummings

No it's not fine, but as part of a conversation on "what's Starmer's take on this?" I think it's worth pointing out she quickly apologised and stepped down. That said, I'm not sure how much the actions of a deputy metropolitan mayor falls under his jurisdiction anyway. But either way, the woman concerned acted swiftly and isnt currently working in her role. Unfortunate for her given her daughter was the one that organised the gathering as a surprise but she's at least tried to correct things.

But yes, I will be blaming the government and their total failure to lead us through this properly when the second wave comes.

She apologised
She Acted swiftly
She is current not in her role
She is Not under his jurisdiction

Just excuses. Always excuses

Add all the above to Cummings and you would still be baying for blood.

That’s before The multiple other labour lockdown breakers are even added

Excuses for what? The question was what would Starmer do about it? She's already gone.

If Cummings had stepped down then how would I still be baying for blood?
