Keir Starmer

The purge of the left continues. The Labour party is now nothing more than a throwback to the Blairite years, pro capitalist, pro-imperialism, pro American, pro- neo liberalism, pro- EU, pro Israel, pro Tory, Pro identity politics, pro liberal values, pro metropolitan liberal elite, probably pro trident replacement, Starmer has moved the party so far right its under the bed sheets with Johnson and his crony capitalists.

A fucking disgusting day in Labour Party History, its no wonder Johnson gets away with lying and complacency as he knows he can be PM for 20 years because the mass movement is no more, Labour is shedding members quicker than the swamp emptied at the 1-6, the members that are leaving are the ones who do the hard yards campaigning, the ones who deliver the party leaflets, Starmer has basically told them all today he doesn't want them in his party, they no longer fit. Good luck to him getting the metro elites out campaigning on the door steps, maybe they can send nanny like Mogg. The red wall will not return to Labour any time soon, it will be the party of the big cities, London, Manchester and maybe Newcastle, the rest will go, maybe even Manchester will have tories once again.

The right wing have won , the country is lurching further to the right by the day and there is no true left opposition. Whats left of Labour will become like the American Democrats, two cheeks of the same pro free market arse.

The only saving grace as I see it is leaving the EU will at least offer the chance for a rebirth of traditional Labour party values, it wont be the Labour party, I think its finished , but maybe a new party of the left, that is patriotic, values family life, is pro working class, believes that immigration should be controlled, values the nations institutions and believes in true Socialist principles of equality of opportunity and " From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs " is a treasured value, where Unions have proper rights and above all democracy is valued again.

Today is my lowest point of being a Labour supporter in my 50 years of political sentience, today the party i loved died on me.

Vive le revolution., stay strong comrades.

Thank you my friend. You have just expressed my views far better and more eloquently than I could.

I’m a bit worried that I’m wholeheartedly agreeing with all the posters that I totally disagree with on the Brexit thread!

Well done Keir Starmer. A big step towards electability for Labour.

You likely agree with them on 99% of your politics.

Hear hear, let's hope that we as a country can get to the place you describe.

If this was Labour they would clean up.

Corbyn’s Labour were unfortunately obsessed with identity politics, spent too much time on Israel, were anything but patriotic and had no policies based on family values (that I can remember).

A blue Labour, meaning some conservative social and immigration policies, would win, I’m sure of it.

Whilst I like Starmer as an individual, I’m not sure another decade of Blair is what we need.

Rachel Reeves tweeted a lot worse (7 times) in feb and nothing was said.

Starmer sticking by his promise about any hint at anti-semetic or unsolicited comments concerning the subject will be dealt with swiftly but hypocritical that he has treated two on his front bench completely differently.

But then the one that has gone is backing the headteachers and unions with regards to schools reopening and already butted heads with the starmer inner circle.

As to the article, it has been revised 3 times by the independant who seem to be unsure which was the acceptable truth from the start.

RLB should know better and so deserved to go, silly fucker.

I can only speak for our constituency. Momentum were not campaigning. If they were, they were campaigning for candidates elsewhere with no chance rather than making sure their own MP retained the seat.
