Spot on, it's just tragic that aftewr 10 years we are still facing a least worst rather than best type choice.

I have long given up any hope that there is a best choice. Everything comes with a health warning. I do know that I can't recall anything that approaches the present government for self interest, dishonesty and sheer incompetence. Starmer should sit down with the Lib Dems and the Greens and form a progressive alliance based on some shared values and a coherent set of policies that ensure this bunch of bastards are kicked out at the next election.

I think it’s to deflect from the fact they are making 90 of their own staff redundant and not releasing the report of their own enquiry

anyone talking of relaunching their leadership is actually admitting failure. I don't know what he stands for and he is doing a shit job of holding the government to account.

Something missing for Starmer, Not quite sure what it is, Possibly a mixture of charisma and credibility? he definitely has a lack of connection with the people. Just hasn't come across as a leader for me sadly since he's been elected.

my impression is that he is a bit of an empty vessel. Good at articulation and debate but ultimately lacking in substance. He has no vision for Labour, I don’t know what he stands for.
He might wipe the floor with Johnson in PMQ but that is nowhere near enough. He isn’t engaging because he has little to say that will mobilise a vote.
I believe Johnson’s days are numbered but we will get one of his cabal as a replacement.
