You don't have to reply mate, but let me explain myself because I think you may have misinterpreted where I am coming from. Firstly, I would describe myself as a socialist, I have socialist values. I have never voted Tory in my life and never will. My issue is about having a Labour party that is actually electable, which it hasn't been for many years.
Why ? Because the general voting public simply will not accept the strident Socialism that Jeremy Corbin stands for, supported by people like Ken Loach.
The issue I have with this is that on a practical level, in terms of standards of living and standards of local services, having a Tory government does not make a great deal of difference to Ken Loach or Jeremy Corbin. They live in nice areas, in nice houses, and do not rely on the state in the way that millions of other people in this country do. Having a Tory government in power for the next 20 years will not hugely impact on the lives of people like them. So between them (all of them) they are continuing to ensure that the Labour party will never again form a government in our lifetimes (certainly not in mine).
That is my issue. That Ken Loach is a supporter of policies and individuals which are seen by the majority in this country as too far to the left, which will ensure that the Labour party will not get elected, which is ok for him, because it doesn't really affect him.
