Keir Starmer

Ah well ... the lengths this fella went too aswell

‘All told, Labour now has a solid economic policy, and one which certainly cannot be characterised as “New Labour”. Its plans for industrial strategy, collective bargaining and workers’ rights are well to the left of anything done by Tony Blair and Brown. Its climate and energy programme is more radical than Miliband’s in 2015. Indeed, excepting nationalisation, it is not too far from the economic prospectus set out in Corbyn’s 2017 manifesto.’

Like it or not,Labour will have to work hand in hand with and with the confidence of the financial sector.

Pie in the sky, 6th form economics and policy simply will not wash, just ask Truss and co.
Democracy has gone, we are now a plutocracy

Sounds great ! The proof of the pudding will be eating but I think he's overegged the pudding somewhat.

3 things from that statement alone stand out. Being to the left of what Blair/Brown delivered on workers rights is slightly misleading. They promised similar and failed to follow up which is partly why the RMT disaffiliated.

Promising to be more radical than Ed Miliband is not a particularly high bar. Given that that Starmer was talking austerity last night and Reeves was trashing the last 2 manifestos this morning the last line is bit of a stretch also.

Some professor of political economy who written the article that you posted. He must be either an expert or Starmer sympathiser as the article was very complimentary of Labours policies.

Just heard a little of Starmer’s speech, had real conviction in what he was saying. Compare and contrast to Sunak yesterday.

I agree, I don't mind the guy, however the other members of the shadow cabinet worry me to be honest. They don't seem that much better than the mob we currently have.
Mind you I stopped voting years ago but always like to listen to what they say.
