I think an inquest into their handling of this virus could be very damaging to the Tories. It could be the best thing to happen for Labour and Starmer. Time will tell but it looks like the government has struggled from day one of this crisis. People wont easily forget the lives lost and the damage to the economy especially if we dont come out of it aswell as other similar countries. This can only benefit the opposition.

I hope you’re right not that I would want Labour in sole charge, a coalition would be nice but I was hoping for that last time.

Doesn't seem to realise that Scotland Wales and NI have devolved governments and that is why differing parts of the UK have different strategies to deal with the virus? Odd considering his party introduced devolution.

Just imagine how amazed he is going to be when he finds out that many things are different between the home nations! Keep up Sir Keir!

He realises it, but it’s important to ask the PM for clarity on some issues because members of his own cabinet are getting it wrong.

He didnt seem to understand that it was down to home nations. Why ask the question? Unless he was just trying to score a cheap political point at the expense of Johnson immediately after saying he wasn't going to. If Johnson had asked that question the lefties on here would be all over him.

He was asking the question to clear up the confusing messages the government is sending out.

I don’t think it’s only “lefties” who are confused by the government’s communications.

ah-ha but your forget - to question anything Johnson says or does means you out yourself as a Momentum member

To be honest the more he allows the government to talk the better he, Jimmy krankie or anyone around the world world barring Trump (obviously) look. The shit show this government's response has been to this crisis is nothing short of an embarrassment at best

He is also cleverly tightening his seat belt and letting Johnson crash the Brexit car into the wall. He knows Johnson won't buckle his up - he will rely on common sense and gold old British pluck - Starmer is going to let Johnson catapult himself through the windscreen and then have to explain to all and sundry how it happened.

Nice to have the first Labour leader in a generation who's presentable.

The gender politics and underlying left wing cauldron bubbling underneath is still a concern.

We need LGBT+ inclusive education in every school – and teachers and schools must be defended as they deliver it.

Trans rights are human rights – though the
Gender Recognition Act was an important advance, it is clear that more needs to be done.

We must listen to the concerns of the trans community and their voices must be central in our policy making. We need to reform the GRA to include self-identification and legal recognition of non-binary gender identities.
