Keir Starmer

Well Sir Keir looked very uncomfortable this morning, even before it began with All About Me Reid. Couldn't answer any questions about taxes. Couldn't give a straight answer about why 30 people stayed after work, drank beer and had takeaway. Johnstone was fined for eating a cake for 9 minutes on his birthday. So it seems the man, whose first 17 questions of 2022 at PMQ was about cake was at it as well, as was Raynor who they lied about being in attendance at the lockdown party. Total hypocrite. There really isn't much choice for honest politics in the UK.

Seems you’ve taken the bait, hook, line and sinker.

He certainly has.
It's clear to anyone who isn't a rabid Johnson lover that "Beergate" is a Daily Mail manufactured scandal. Their comment today, seemingly without irony, was that it was the seventh day of the Beergate scandal. What they meant was that they had put it as a headline for seven consecutive days hoping a few people would take the bait. Starmer is correctly dismissing it as mud slinging and he knows that any further comment would be legitimising the story. All this fuss about Rayner being there is totally irrelevant. Someone checked her diary and got it wrong. The fact she was there makes absolutely no difference anyway so why deny it for any reason other than a genuine mistake. I wonder if the late Frank Dobson enjoyed his curry.

Confirmation bias.

I'd ask whats eating your conscience? I was just putting out there what my view is in terms of the two major party leaders - you can criticize the the content but why have a pop at me?
Content? You inferred that anyone not voting for or backing Starmer is aligning themselves with Johnson, doesn't care about vulnerable pensioners and should question their humanity.
Forgive me for thinking that you were the one having a pop.

But you are forgetting both Johnson and Starmer have been investigated by the police one is guilty the other is innocent. The rest is irrelevant, and do yourself a favour stop reading the Mail who are so desperate to make this an issue to save Johnson its pathetic and embarassing.

It’s not a curry, slice of pizza or a beer that’s the issue.

It’s the fucking lies for months on end about it all and that’s why Boris and the government have to go.

Listening to Geoff Norcott on Radio 4 and his description of him was spot on. Claiming he's a fantastic parliamentarian but acts like a hostage speaking on behalf of his captors when being interviewed by the media. He calls it the "Keir Fear." Even though he's a Tory he won't be voting for this lot in their current form as he doesn't think they aren't the conservative party he feels affiliated to. However Starmer wins are being given to him by government incompetence and a proper leader and his party would be 30 points ahead. He also warned be wary of local election results not being as disastrous as people want or suspect as Tories like him don't have an alternative and won't vote.

Nope. I’ve seen the pictures and listened to Starmer’s version of events which were against the law at the time.
I don’t read any papers let alone The Mail

Odd that it’s a genuine mistake when Labour forget who was at an illegal gathering but lies when Tories do it!

They’re all as bad as each other. Always have been and always will be.

It’s both really though. So many people didn’t see their relatives dying or go to their funerals to help stop the spread of Covid.

These fuckers made the rules and ignored them, breaking the law and then lied about ignoring them.

Embarrassing. Do you publicly soil yourself in real life as well?

I don't care if Kier Starmer had beer and curry.
Would it be different if he had coffee and pizza?
I don't care if birthday cake was served or not in Downing Street.

What I care about is that the PM thinks it's acceptable to blatantly lie to you, me and the rest of the population inside parliament and outside parliament again and again and again.

When the PM may tell us something in future that may be very important, such as Russia using chemical weapons, I want to have some confidence that the PM is telling the truth. Wars were started from similar statements.

If Boris told me that it was raining, I'd call the dog in to see if it's wet to check.

One thing I won't do is pander to the ranting of the Daily Mail.

The one of Starmer eating a curry in 2019?
Starmer's version of events weren't against the law and stack up with all the available evidence including the £200 takeaway bill.

Wow! Seems that an opposite viewpoint is met with childish put downs on here.

I don’t read The Guardian for the same reason I don’t read The Mail. Pointing to a pro-Labour publication won’t change my mind.

PS: I’ll be voting Labour tomorrow. I don’t support either party particularly but I am reasonably happy with Labour locally.

They are not fit to run this country for so many more important reasons. Cannot wait do see this crooked shower of cunts catapulted out of power.
