Keir Starmer

I voted for a Democratic Socialist, the Labour right are not Socialists and actively undermined the chance of a Democratic Socialist victory because they are in thrall to Capitalism and their insidiousness is shaping the Labour right to be akin to a RW party that is no threat to the establishment. Instead of root and branch reform, if Starmer wins and I still think its a big IF, there will be tinkering around the edges but nothing of note.

The difference is I voted for change, the labour right vote for continuity.
So your not voting for Starmer:-
Outed yourself as a Tory enabler, thanks for helping to bring about the worst Government in UK history
How are you not about to do the same?

Great insights. You’re wasted on here with how well you grasp the finer points and so succinctly articulate them. Have you ever thought about getting a job in political commentary? Obviously it would be a huge loss to BM to see you leave but I wouldn’t want to see anyone stand in the way of greatness.
Why, thank you. Good to see you didn’t dispute the point.

Have a good’en ;-)

Reporter just asked why no-one from the Bernie Grant leadership school has been selected for MP in comparison ones from the Tony Blair Foundation.

Naturally he fudged it.
The Bernie Grant programme was only set up last October when most constituencies had already selected a candidate.

Now if you want to ask why such an initiative was needed that's different. Colour isn't the only issue where MPs are not "diverse".

I think the Tories may use diversity and gender as sticks to beat him with during a GE.

They've got nothing else about from fear and hate to use.

Starmer did a speech in a factory this morning. Nearly all the press questions were about Rwanda. Only when he got to divert onto the cost of living and the rest of the Tory mayhem did the workforce applaud. It's only the Tory right who think Rwanda is going to win them votes.

In the last months of the Major government there were many Tory MP's that thought having a new Royal Yacht was going to save them, once they are in their bubble it's hard for them to see out of it, whilst it's not good for the country it is rather gratifying seeing the Tories rip themselves apart, Labour look like the grown ups in the room without having to do or say very much
