Keiren Westwood

He struggled against David James and Nicky Weaver; I think he'll find it hard against Joe Hart - but heopefully he'll be much more mature and pragmatic. He's won PFA team of the year awards and player of the season awards for Carlisle/Coventry so he knows how to put in a shift. There's no reason why he'd be a bad choice. Go for it, bring him home.

Sorry no where near good enough for our level we need a keeper to put pressure on Joe and Westwood is not the one to do that

We could see Westwood come to be third choice and see Wright leave if Willy is brought in to challenge/deputy Hart. Having a club trained 3rd keeper would be fantastic especially since we only need 1 club trained player in the UCL squad this year.
You're aware that we only register 2 over 21 goalies for the CL, the only other CT player we have is Boyata (presuming Richards goes).
So either Rodwell replaces Boyata in which case Westwood would have to be named with Willy missing out. Or we name Boyata and Willy as 2nd goalie which makes signing Westwood pointless.

Bring back Kasper? £4m, at most, should do it. Better option than Westwood in my opinion.

Didn't want to sit on our bench when he was 17, even less likely he'll want to do so now

Yeah it did all turn a bit sour towards the end... Shame, I've always rated him but I supposed he is in uncharted territory being a Premier League first choice. I presume Leicester aren't looking to make a big money keeper signing any time soon that would push Kasper down the pecking order? If your going to be a number 2 might as well be a higher paid number 2...

I'm hoping,for once,they have an insight.

Great news unless he was to be 3rd choice goalkeeper. If Caballero or Keylor Navas are signed as our #2, I'll be delighted.

Are we linked with either.

Quite heavily linked with Willy in Spain (one of our 4 main targets according to Malaga press). Navas has been mentioned once or twice. Both play for clubs with no money and would be pretty cheap. I don't know where we are on the homegrown front, but either would be immense second choice keepers and dare I say it would strongly challenge Joe for the starting spot.

Are we looking to replace hart? Our two big target valdes and caballero aren't bench warmer. I really don't believe in this 'competition' thing, especially if we pay 15-20m for caballero. Seriously, which club has 2 great keepers contend to 'compete' for number one spot?

Anyway any other possible target? It's weird, as if city couldnt bother to look for a new gk.
