Keisuke Honda close to signing - ESPN

If true it will help fill numbers in the squad leaving the big bucks for the showbiz names.

Honda will be a much better 4th striker than Jo.
 
to be fair he is pretty class, honda that is

i remember a quote from wenger about him from the world cup

he said something along the lines of everything genius happens when honda plays and he was his player of the tounement

be class signing but dno how he's gona fit in

other guys from championship, dno how good he though
 
Why are we signing a 29yo player from the lower leagues? If we have to sign a Japanese player, the guy at Dortmund should have been selected. Honda may be a good squad player a la Park, but nothing more.
 
I thought at the world cup he looked a very good player and he would bring part of the Asian fan base we need. Shrewd acquisition IMO.

Honda is not 25 till next month and if he has a similar impact as Park i would be very happy,from what i saw at the world cup though,i believe he offers a fair bit more - a good combination of industry and ability.
