Does anyone remember seeing Keith MacRae play in goal for City? He arrived at a time when Joe Corrigan was having a rough time of it. He played the most part of a season in the early 70s before Corrigan returned to form and never really looked back. Despite that MacRae, whatever you might have said about him, remained loyal to the Blues and stayed for about 6 years. That's almost unheard of now.

I wonder what he's doing now.

I remember we paid £100,000 for him from Motherwell (I think). It was a record sum for a goalkeeper at the time.

you need more than that wrinkly dried up old maggot

Useless info time.

He made his debut at Sheff Utd after the team had a bump in the coach and Big Joe wasn't fit to play. He was then fined for wearing black shorts and socks which didn't match our first strip.

(I may have mixed three separate incidents up there but I don't think so.)

He was a bit before my time but remember older lads at school having arguments about who as worse — Keith McRae or the rag's hapless Irish keeper Paddy Roche
