He'll have to wait a few more years to over take Sergio. We're well set for the future, I can safely say that!
I hope he waits a few years and doesn't start aching to be a starter before his time at City. Sure there's plenty of games to go around for all, but I just get the sense that he's one day going to want to be the undisputed starter somewhere. I just hope it's with us.

Loves a goal! That knack for being in the right position at the right time is a skill in itself!
It's an instinct, a player either has it or he doesn't - I don't believe it can be coached into a player. You could see Kelechi had it from that first run into the box at Palace, even before Nasri struck the ball Kelechi was away into the 6 yard box hoping to nick any scraps.

To the tune of Right Here, Right Now:

I was alive and I waited, waited
I was alive and I waited for this

Right place, right time
there is no other place I want to be
Right place, right time
watching Kelechi make history

Goal machine. His record is quite ridiculous really

Yep.

1351 minutes played
  • 16 Goals
  • 7 Assists
  • Goal every 84 minutes
  • Goal/Assist every 58 minutes

How do those stats stand up in comparison to other players mate ?

Well... last season he was the best in Europe. Ahead of Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez and Aguero. That said he played nowhere as many minutes.

This season Aguero is obviously ahead on goals with 9 goals in 434 minutes, but Aguero has no assists, so his goals+assists ratio is 48,22, while Iheanacho has 2 goals and 2 assists in 153 minutes, so his goals+assists ratio is 38,25 and better than Aguero's...

anyone know this kid's shots to goal ratio? it seems he shoots very little for a player of his position but when he does it counts.

He can't stop scoring. It's almost a shame he's behind one of the world's best, because he'd be banging them in every week otherwise. Nice for us to have that type of problem.

If he had gone to Porto like his Dad told him to in 2014, he'd already have a £75m price tag and be talked about as the best striking prospect in world football.

If he gets good enough though, Pep will find a way to play them together. He's already said that he can play out wide or behind the striker after the Steua game IIRC - I think he knows Pep will find a way to play them if the both warrant starting.
