His style reminds me of Ian Rush. Not flashy, just appears in the right spot at the right time. If he gets as many goals, he'll do for me. He might even get us some 'istry in the process ;-)

anyone know this kid's shots to goal ratio? it seems he shoots very little for a player of his position but when he does it counts.

Well... If Squawka is right then for this season is 100%. 4 games, 2 shots, 2 on target, 2 goals. That said the Squawka stats didn't count the prelim phase vs Steau.

Last season he had 21 shots, 12 on target, 8 goals, so a 38% conversion rate of shots total and a 75% conversion rate of shots on target. This does not count the blocked shots. But still... clinical.

Also: Don't think Iheanacho gets enough credit for yesterday's goal. It wasn't a tap in and Iheanacho did finish it perfectly.

If he had gone to Porto like his Dad told him to in 2014, he'd already have a £75m price tag and be talked about as the best striking prospect in world football.

If he gets good enough though, Pep will find a way to play them together. He's already said that he can play out wide or behind the striker after the Steua game IIRC - I think he knows Pep will find a way to play them if the both warrant starting.

Remember Gabriel Jesus is to come in as well.

If everyone of Sane, Sterling, Iheanacho, Jesus, Moreno, and maybe Roberts and Barker live up to what we expect and hope for, Pep might have a luxury problem that will result in a few of them eventually ending up doing well somewhere else. And I'm not even bringing in the now U18's, but by that time I'm afraid we will have another manager in the dugout.

I hope he waits a few years and doesn't start aching to be a starter before his time at City. Sure there's plenty of games to go around for all, but I just get the sense that he's one day going to want to be the undisputed starter somewhere. I just hope it's with us.
The positive to take out of any early departure is that for once we are likely to get a big pay day for a player leaving. There will be no cheapo loan deals to Italians for this lad as he is likely to command 30 or 40 million in the current market.

I think with Kelechi when he gets a chance you know that he is going to work the keeper. The goal yesterday as soon as Sane pulled it back for Kelechi you knew he was going to score. IF Pep keeps Kelechi going and slowly introducing him into the team he could be our record goal scorer in years to come.
