There are five key things of note in the second goal

rfmbBCq.gif

1) Onazi's long ball to launch the attack
2) Nacho's run alongside Ideye....notice he actually runs from deep and goes past Ideye
3) but the Zambian line stiffles the attack..so Ideye holds up the play...and allows Simon to retreat
4) Then this is where Mikel takes over...the give and go with Nacho takes one defender out of the equation...but notice that this is not possible if Nacho does not return from his advanced position
5) This is individual brilliance here...because while Mikel then lays off the ball to Ideye....this time around the defenders stand their ground, although they remain static. Nacho takes advantage of this.....takes the ball to the by line and wriggles it through

Similar to the first goal, the Zambians show some defensive naivety....but the off the ball movement is what helps us as well. This time around it is Nacho's off the ball movement that is really noticeable.

Anyone think he might play today? Pep seemed to be talking about how hard a week Aguero has had mentally and physically in his pressed yesterday.

I really like the lad, he has heart, desire, pace and gives his all. Really would like to see some more composure on the ball occasionally. He has the potential be a 'legend' with us.

He gave possession away which resulted in Everton breaking on us and Guardiola immediately made the sub. Personally I'd have kept him on and played him with aguero but in pep we trust.
