I pointed this out to @City_Watch, but just to reiterate as he hasn't mentioned it: it looks like Kelechi could be playing in our UYL game tomorrow. AfricanFootball.com posted the following regarding him playing in the African Youth Championship:
I checked the UEFA.com site, and Kelechi is now listed in our squad for the UYL (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/season=2015/clubs/player=250081385/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/sea ... index.html</a>). With this in mind, he most certainly has received his work permit as he'd be ineligible for registration otherwise. I think he might get a run out tomorrow.

The MVP for the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup, who followed the team’s recent warm-up matches in Ghana via telephone, told Manu he will even play a match for City reserves on Tuesday.
A source further said: “The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are expected to liase with the medical staff of City to determine the extent of Kelechi’s recovery after which a final decision will be taken on this issue.”
