He wont be coming back
He is not or will never be good enough for City
Seeing as, quite clearly, nobody at City sees themselves as knowledable enough about judging young players in order to make that call, & have therefore knocked millions off the price of the deal, because they are so uncertain, it's reassuring to know, we, on here, have you.

Or it's more of a real Madrid style buy back clause. If he improves and someone wants to sign him for big money we buy then sell.

Same thing.
If he's a big money player, then there is a strong chance he's good enouigh for City.
Nobody in football, is good enough to be able to predict the difference at this stage. Hence the clause. They don't know, but they suspect, so are covering the potential outcome.
I hope we don't end up using the buy back clause just to make money. I.e. if the buy back is set at 50m, we don't just buy him back to re-sell because someone wants him for 55m.
Also, I would have thought like most other but back options, the fee we would need to buy him back would be incremental - maybe 35 next summer, 42 the year after and 50m after 3 years.

Why not?
If the fee wasn't guaranteed the press would be reporting it as 15M+addons or something.Slimani says hi. Kelechi doesn't go in to Leicester as guaranteed first choice every game, he'll have to work to earn his spot. Can only be a good thing from our point of view though.
That depends on the nature of the deal. If it's guaranteed it can all go in this years accounts, if however it's dependant on anything incentive based, be it goals scored, international caps, league position etc or even something as simple as a handful of appearances then it can't go in the books until it's triggered, as it's not guaranteed.
