Probably most suitable for 50+ listeners but has been nicking audience share from R2 and other oldies stations in droves.

Political by the sounds

As Ken Bruce said in the Summer that he would never leave the BBC and then suddenly boom in January he’s going I rather think the whole thing has been political.
And to be replaced by Vernon Kay. But at least it wasn’t Gary I need to repeat myself every 5 minutes Davis! Not that it matters to me I’ve ordered a new radio so that I can, hopefully, get Greatest Hits Radio sorted in time for Ken’s debut on there.
I like Vernon on TV but not on radio.

Davies is pretty good as a stand in. Wright's afternoon show was popular, but he got binned off and was keft with presenting love songs on Sunday morning. Funnily enough I've never managed to tune into that show!

I really dislike DJ's. Just play fucking music without the chatter. Streaming is the way to go. Fuck off with your pointless traffic updates.

Unfortunately I have to listen to Radio 2 at work. How does that traffic bloke get away with doing sod all. 7am to 12 am reading out 30 seconds worth of pointless traffic jams every hour? Bet he gets paid shed loads as well.
