Always came across as a smug and sanctimonious FOC imo. The only reason I’m pissed he’s leaving is that he is lined up for the 10am to 1pm slot on Greatest Hits.

Ken Bruce and Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the 70's are the only Radio 2 programmes that I listen to now. The rest of the presenters are shite IMHO. The station has seriously gone downhill during the last few years. Looks like more Greatest Hits Radio for me.Radio 2 hasn't been the same for me since Jonnie Walker left his drive time slot.

I've been listening to Ken for years, and like him or not he is a master of his trade. Knows his music too. He's read out many of my emails over the years as well.
Will certainly be listening the GHR for his show, and that's me done with Radio 2 now unless Gary Davies replaces Ken.

Thanks for the info about CFM - I didn't know that. Probably because I haven't listened to it for ages. As you say, it's shite. Actually I find Greatest Hits OK but it's only available around here on DAB. I expect that as from April we'll get it on FM as well so that'll be handy for the tranny radio when I'm doing jobs outside.just found out that our local independent radio station, radio shite (CFM, really) is switching to this Greatest hits radio station.
No doubt it will be chock full of crap adverts the same as CFM is/was.
iPods were invented to solve this problem :)
