Kev Still The King

Got a lot of time for KK and loved his time at the club.

Think you probably have to have a 100% record in the transfer market to satisfy some on here, I wonder if they will ever be happy.

I think he was a great motivator and that's all. He took us on after we just got relegated and turned the mood around, added Ali B and then played the best football I ever saw at MR.

Given some money, he failed. Given some egos to manage, he failed.

He was/is old school. He had no coaching quals and I think his man-management came from his Shankly experiences.

But I'll always forgive him just because of that 1st season and for being open, honest & friendly. We'll never see that again.

he was also the one that gave swp his chance

Pretty certain SWP made his debut under joe

Me too, think it was Port Vale away if I remember rightly? He sort of scored that day although I think on reflection it was probably an own goal.

Much prefer KK to Stuart Pearce. Some of the best football I have watched as a City fan was under Keegan. I could never respect a manager who thought Bernado Corradi could do a job in the Premiership.

Before game on TV said City's incredible support will ensure they win the League in the next couple of years.
After game said City are one of very few teams that can go to OT and WIN !
Good ol' Kev then said he likes Mancini a lot for his willingness to give credit to others!
Have to love him!!

Personally I prefer SP, KK spend all the dosh on over the hill over paid has beens & left us with a load of crap that were not good enough to keep us in the top flight.

I must be missing something. Did we get relegated?

Good God.

Kev is great when spending loads of dosh. No doubt he could have even given Mansour's bank account a run for it's money.

I thought KK was great today. He was very complimentary about us fans and the club.

While I agree that he brought some great players to City, he also wasted a hell of a lot of money.

Fowler, Macken and Vuoso cost £14.5 million and if one of them had been left alone, we could have bought DvB.

Meet KK when he was manager at a do once
Couldnt meet a nicer bloke spent a couple of hours signing autographs and talking to fans, always wore his heart on his sleeve and was always very honest and open(take note baconface)
He did make some strange signing but always had the right intentions
01/02 was the BEST football ive ever seen at City
Top man

Unfortunately, I was in Germany and France during the 01/02 season and only saw three games, though one of them was Ali's debut.

A great motivator; remember how up the whole team was for the last Maine Road derby?

We were never going to lose that game.

For that, if nothing else, KK will always be remembered.

I wouldn't have personally classed anelka, berkovic, distin, van buyten, benarbia etc as overpriced has beens....even schmeichel at 39 was a quality signing.. and would def agree with KK's time as being the most exciting... and i feel that's partly what it's all about...signing someone of the quality anelka at maine road at the time was unheard of...keegan had the knack of persuading quality players to come to us..

couldnt agree more kk came to a few prestwich and whitefield branch dos he wa fantastic a gentleman and spent ages signing autographs for the kids

I like Keegan, he wears his heart on his sleeve.
He was kind to us today and i think he has a genuine fondness
for us.
All the sweeter i suppose cos no other fcuker
on telly has a good word for us.
