Joined Preston that's a fine coup for them but I wonder what wages he'll be on.

Id forgotten about this. The original Adrian Durham interview made Davies out to be a poor man with no potential future earnings! The truth is that Davies has his head up his own arse and feels Bolton owed him something FFS.
Oh well, he can end his career at Preston trying to scrape by on what? 10k a week?

Always had a soft spot for Davies, not sure why, just liked his style . Pleased when he got that England cap, hope he does well at Preston.

Yep me to.Gave his all for Bolton and for me they would have been even less than an average team,had it not been for his service and commitment.Not always liked his style but I`ve seen many a centre back for City being given a fucking good run around.

I worked for a good few years with a charity working with unemployed young people - Davis did a lot of work off his own back with each group we ran in Bolton, organised a tour of the ground etc and a coaching session, took an interest throughout the course and he would turn up on a Thursday evening at the end of the 12 weeks to see their presentation and hand out certificates.
Complete opposite to what you see on the pitch.

He's more than a decent bloke. My daughter teaches his daughter so I have met him a few times and a nicer chap you couldn't wish to meet. He had some pretty decent offers from Championship clubs but one of the main reasons he chose Preston is that he won't have to move and uproot his family.
