Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

Where do you dream this stuff up?
I thought he was letting the game pass him by. I wish he'd impose himself a lot more on the game.

He can play a lot better than that. Once again I didn't think Belgium played that well, but because of the scoreline they were getting lots of praise from the commentators

Ok I don`t think some will like this but some might agree.

Today was a perfect example of a lightweight player playing great when no pressure was applied, as soon as he was pressed he gave the ball away easily without much fight. Unfortunately we have lost our warriors in our team both in the attacking part of our game and the defencive part, Tevez, De Jong, Barry, Bellamy, Yaya, Zabaletta looks past his best or struggling to get over an injury. and Kompany is injury prone, hopefully he will sort his calf muscle out and get back to his best.

These player havent been replaced, but who other than Fernandinho has the will to win and fight like fuck attitude to get us back to the place we want to be. we need to buy players with backbone and desire as well as technically brilliance.

Couldn't agree more. Every class team needs that solid nasty player even if he just wins the ball and winds up opponents. We don't have 1. Fernando is our bite but he is so dopey looking and looks like he just wants to be friends. We need a mascherano, busquets, Pepe, de Jong or terry phelan type. Someone who gets under the oppos skin, angers them & makes them make mistakes. To be honest silva is the meanest little f@cker we got lately he always seems to leave a little in.

I think Pep will demand total commitment from every single player on the team, nastiness won't be an equation he requires, just absolute dedication and precise enactment from every player for his instructions. Management.

Seen some glowing reviews, but I thought he was very poor. Strolling around. Doesn't seem bothered although I am sure he is
very strange comment.
chris waddle used to look like he wasn,t bothered even at the height of his game, when he was one of the most skilful players in the old 1st division.
not sure how you thought he was very poor, possibly its your judgement which needs looking at, altho i guess its all about opinions.

If he's inconsistent love to see him when he is consistent - I really give up and don't really know what fans expect. Messi would last three games here...

I'd love to see him when he's consistent too because he hasn't been. He's either unbelievably good or beyond terrible. Mind you, I'm sure playing under Pellegrini won't have helped so can't wait to see him next season.

So Sterling, Hart and now De Bruyne all shite according to some on this forum. How about Sergio, he's been benched so he must be shite as well? Fernandinho wasn't even picked for the Brazil squad - must be proper shite......

That is my point. Waddle was fantastically gifted but did not impose himself on the game and control it. I think the problem might be that for Belgium he's not the first player they look for. Every time they get the ball it goes to Hazard and KDB gets a bit starved of possession. We might have similar issues with Silva.

he needs to be more demanding rather than coast through games. His first two games for Belgium he hasn't been anywhere the player he can be.
