He's not going and it's not a snub.Hopefully as it's Cross it's a pile of crap.
His contract elapses during it and he will be in holiday.

Maybe I’m missing something, but this sounds entirely plausible and tbh exactly what a player like Kev might be thinking along the lines of.'De Bruyne pushes for early Man City exit'
'Kevin De Bruyne could leave Manchester City before the start of the Club World Cup, reports the Daily Star.
Man City face an extended campaign as they jet off to the United States to take part in the Club World Cup, which begins on June 14.
However, De Bruyne, who admitted he was "surprised" that Man City had not offered him a new deal, is said to desire a move away from the club before the action kicks off.
De Bruyne revealed last week how City had refused to give him a new contract -and told him he was free to leave the Etihad this summer. The handling of the decision has angered De Bruyne, who is now looking for a new club.
Pep Guardiola's squad will head to the United States in June to take part in the inaugural Club World Cup. De Bruyne is obliged to go, because his current deal doesn't run out until the end of that month.
And while the tournament doesn't finish until July 13, clubs can get special dispensation to extend player deals by a further two weeks. But it's understood De Bruyne has reservations about being involved - and is keen to end his City career following the final league game of the season.
The Belgium international doesn't want to risk getting injured and ruin a move to another club. While the midfielder is also keen to take a significant break, ahead of the start of next season'.
Supposedly.
He can be part of the squad for the group games but I suspect he will get a suspicious injury just before thenMaybe I’m missing something, but this sounds entirely plausible and tbh exactly what a player like Kev might be thinking along the lines of.
Any player in this situation has that choice to make, they don’t have to accept the 2 week extension and will surely be able to dictate whether they choose to be part of the CWC squad.
I think the point though is that it’d be weird for a club to make a player come with the squad for that final 2 weeks if they’ve expressed a desire to not be part of the squad for the tournament. He can be part of the squad for the group games but I suspect he will get a suspicious injury just before then
I'd hope so I did think it was time for him to go at the end of last season, he's lost 1/2 yard of pace but now fit his class and effect he makes on a game is still there.I have a sneaky suspicion that he will get offered something near the end of the season for a year with option for two on reduced wages
Yeah that’s true. Is it a 32 man squad like the international WC have we even got 32 players to bringI think the point though is that it’d be weird for a club to make a player come with the squad for that final 2 weeks if they’ve expressed a desire to not be part of the squad for the tournament.
Oh yeah I agree it sounds plausible. And the club would in no way look to push him to take part in over the two weeks he has left on his contract after 10+ years here.Maybe I’m missing something, but this sounds entirely plausible and tbh exactly what a player like Kev might be thinking along the lines of.

If, being thr key word there.I think the point though is that it’d be weird for a club to make a player come with the squad for that final 2 weeks if they’ve expressed a desire to not be part of the squad for the tournament.
Yes...But just hoping its not gonna come to thatIf he wants to go to another Prem club then there is no reason to begrudge him that choice
