And me… since 1965I saw virtually all of The King's career at Maine Road and I've said before that KDB shades it for me.

We totally outplayed the champions at SB where they very rarely lost. Kevs goal was brilliant, amazing we only won 1-0. Did we play in an all maroon strip? It’s not his most high profile goal but my favourite KDB moment will always be be that left footer he scored at chelsea in Pep’s second season. Chelsea had won the league easily, Pep was being mocked and doubted. It was our first big game of the season and we went to SB and pressed the life out of them, totally bossed the game. I remember saying to my dad “This is the best City performance I’ve ever seen” fairly early on. It was our first proper introduction to the Pep way of playing and we kept missing chances until Kev put that screamer away.
He had run and won a game away against the champions and it represented an introduction to the world of Pep’s City. It marked the beginning of an era.
Me too, was behind the goal as well. Knew it’d gone in as soon as he got the the ball back from Jesus. It’s not his most high profile goal but my favourite KDB moment will always be be that left footer he scored at chelsea in Pep’s second season. Thanks for your normal pedanticness. I would expect nothing lessNothing more pathetic than geographical pedanticness.
Altrincham is in Greater Manchester not Cheshire btw.
