just googled him and found a cracking interview withhim where he goes on to say that he didnt get the chance to say goodbye to the city fans which he regrets and thanks us all.

Thanks to everyone that has paid their tribute to Super Kev, I've e-mailed him a link to this thread (courtesy of the link provided by simonk) so hopefully all the comments will be read by him.

Thought I would start a new topic on Kevin Horlock as he's just been mentioned in another post.

We all remember the stunning strike by Paul Dickov at Wembley, and he is a hero \ legend with us but I do have sympathy for Kevin Horlock . The first goal, his goal is very rarely mentioned and without that one there wouldn't have been the second more famous goal. I genuinely believe had we not escaped the gloom of Division 2 that season we wouldn't be where we are today, and that the club would have had even darker times. So for that goal Kevin, and the years you played for us as a shining star in a sea of shit I thank you.

a great player in an important history of our club, always seemed like a nice bloke, and the only City player I ever knew got sent off for "walking quite aggressively"!

He scored some cracking goals aswel for us.

One of my favourite players growing up watching City.

Whereabout is our Kev these days - wherever he is, I hope he's still doin' his aggressive walk. Salt of the earth player.

Ay, just 'ad a shufty at this! Under the 'Services' tab doesn't seem to be any chance of being coached by Kev in aggressive walkin'. Come on Kevin, loads of the kids in East Anglia are desperate.

my favourite player for a while remember as a 9 year old him scoring his first 2 against swindon town (one of them was a free kick or from a free kick i think) plus wasn't he involved in the build up to dickovs goal as well wiekins-horlock-goater-dickov? is that right?
