mates let's not get carried away...i like the statement too but basically it's our only card i think it's the last one we can play...if 31 arrives and we still have no deal for tevez i think we will accept milan's offer even if it's not what we would want. keep in mind the fine needs to be approved by the FA and if tevez comes back and trains we need to pay him all his wages and that clause about doubling his salary if we win the championship....it's really hurting us.One in all tevez is bad business either way but could mean ten times more trouble if we decide to prove a point and keep him
Thanks for your input Mr McCarthy, shouldn't you be getting ready for Sly Sports in the morning?

Tevez not motivated by money

Argentine's camp insist almost £10m loss is not priority concern

Carlos Tevez's representatives have insisted the striker is not motivated by money in the wake of revelations that his ongoing transfer saga has cost the Argentine almost £10million......
much neater edit I'm sure

Re: Tevez - Khaldoon tells it as it is!

Pure class, perfectly timed, let them think they had the upper hand and gave them all enough rope to hang themselves. Brilliant.

news at 10 has just said 6 weeks wages... how much is that? I hope we now sue him... i think he owes us more than that in wages whilst he has played golf

i wonder if on top of this we can claim compensation for taking actions to reduce his transfer value.

i like to see the scarred one and the snake destitute

Re: Tevez - Khaldoon tells it as it is!

I think Sky have made the same mistake as Kia in underestimating City and ADUG. I think they may pay a heavy price for it somewhere down the line.

Proves my point that for the past 12 weeks that we were still paying Tevez.

I took loads of shit from people who hadn't got a clue... and I was right.

The 6 weks fine means Tevez is still 6 weeks pay up on the deal.
This sanction is far les about being a disciplinary matter and far, far more about the club taking a shot across the bows of the Tevez advisers.

They're stating unequivocally that he sorts out a deal for himself before the transfer deadline, otherwise he will have to return to City and face the consequences.

If anyone has read what I've been saying, I've been urging the club to take Tevez on, as otherwise he's going to walk away for peanuts.
I would have sacked him long time past.
Hopefully we will hold our nerve.

But I said 12 weeks ago that we would get next to nowt for Tevez, and I stil stand by that. Wait until January 31st,. to see if we manage to make any money on a Tevez deal. I very much doubt it.

Not according to Sky sports you aint

It now transpires City stopped paying wages estimated at £200,000-a-week at the end of November and also fined Tevez six weeks' wages for gross misconduct over his refusal to return

The coup de gras delivered by Seasideblue :D

Come on Soulboy matey; you gotta hold your hands up here.

Coup de grâce... cough, cough..

Looks like our chairman disagrees

"Carlos remains a player with contractual obligations to Manchester City for the next two and a half seasons," Al Mubarak said. "Unless we receive an offer that we deem appropriate, the terms of his contract will be enforced."

As for his clause regarding doubling his wages that will no doubt be apperance related and and as he is in breach of contract may not be enforcable
