Good assessment. There is a lot of wealth in South Africa as well as much poverty and unemployment. As others have said, the link to potential sponsors could be stronger in S.A.

CFG will use a Framework like Mckinsey's 7S' to inform investment decisions thus taking account of a wide range of factors including politician, social, financial, staffing etc.

To avoid conflicts of interest we might assume that one club in each confederation might be owned by CFG.. The 20% share in Yokohama F Marinos hardly counts as ownership given that NISSAN owns 80% and have control of the stadium and everything else.
That said I´m sure that CFG are happy to provide certain services to YFM given that NISSAN are a major CFG sponsor nowadays.

So lets focus the speculations on Africa and South-America, In South-America I can´t see us buy any established club really.. and in Africa it´s really about what countries you want to have a club in.
