Khaldoon interview

These guys are business geniuses. you only have to look through the many other commercial activities they are and have been involved in around this planet to see that it is all based on long term visions and formulas that are impossible to fail or break - however hard UEFA and the establishment tries. UEFA is run by a bunch of ex-pro footballers and establishment types that have a view of the world that is based on the past with no clue about the future. They run their organisation for 'now' and what they can get out of it by way of status and in their back pocket.

Our owners don't have a concept of anything unless it involves transforming it beyond their own lifetimes. Khaldoon clearly quoted the massive expansion of the entire business on all levels - huge investment, huge increase on personnel, a life time and beyond of vision (already looking forward to giving the same interview in 6 years time!!) and most importantly for us, confirmation that they are going no where, much to the annoyance of the likes of UEFA and all the fucking stuffed shirts and execs around the football world and will keep pushing its mantra about long term visions.

UEFA will never admit it, but they will be - and are - hugely embarrassed by seeing what this model has actually achieved. It belies their belief that everyone has to tread water and must keep their place in the pecking order. Their motto should be 'WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED'. But there is a total lack of understanding and long term vision and is full and total exposure of their incompetence, short signed views and belligerent attitude to what is clearly proven to be correct. If we break even this year and go into profit next year and continue to grow in all areas as our owners predict, they UEFA will be licking their wounds for decades to come.

As it turns out, over the next few years, it looks like City will have the best of every aspect of football - consistency and sustainability on every level along with the best youth facility in Europe and the world. That is itself will piss of UEFA no end that this facility has ended up in Eastlands.

This is not about 11 players on the pitch. It is not about Tevez and his tantrums, Yaya and his agent feeling dissed because the Sheik did not personally congratulate him on getting to his 31st birthday, Balotelli and his incessant need to be in the media every second of the day. Let everyone else rattle their cages with jealously, anger and frustration at what is happening at our club. Let Wenger, the swamp donkeys and virtually every other manager and executive across the football world mouth off about what they think City should or should not be. Fuck em all. This is about how all of these so called top clubs would actually really like to be - given the chance. I fucking love it and can't wait for the start of the next season and every season.

It's easy to forget that he was new to football when he became our chairman. Let's not forget that this sport we love has seduced many a rich, powerful and successful man, only for him to be chewed up, spat out, and sent packing with his tail between his legs. Lord(snigger) Sugar is testament to that.
Khaldoon has taken to it like a duck to water and wears his position with a confidence and dignity that is rarely seen in football.
We are lucky to have him.

Khaldoon promises 'a very pleasant surprise' when New York City signings announced. #mcfc

Lescott and/or Barry ????
Speaks very highly of them and a modest transfer fee would be good in our coffers.

There's an interesting little snippet in a SSN piece about Fabregas today :- http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-lipped-over-cesc-fabregas-amid-man-utd-links
Enrique also remained tight-lipped regarding Xavi's immediate future at Barcelona, with the midfielder linked with a move to the MLS

Coincidence?

What an absolutely fantastic interview. You get such a buzz listening to every word he says, the future is bright.

I just finished watching the interview, and like many other, I am excited about what the future has to hold.

Gone forever is 'Typical City'; Khaldoun and his colleagues will see to that.

He talked about conducting the same interview in six years time. By then, I hope and believe our first team will be well populated with players who have come through the Academy and established themselves in our first team and hopefully, England's too.
