Khaldoons End of Season Interview

A nice balance of humility and arrogance.

The undercurrent is, "We fucking told you so!", pointing to our achievements on and off the field, that we will not be diverted from our objectives.

He's rightly bursting with pride and this Champions League win has emboldened both him and the entire Club.

Khaldoon promised to be "blunt" when the tribunal has reached its findings, which is a warning in itself to those who have contrived against us?

We could construe it however we want?

I'd be surprised if he intends to burn the house down if the decision is favourable?

If the chairman intends to light it up, an argument can also be made that he doesn't care if we are given some lame charge!
My reading of the "blunt" comment was that he didn't have to say it. I think it was intended to put some pressure on the PL. I think it is likely that we are not in the mood to sign any Non Disclosure Agreements when this witchunt comes to an end. I think the club will probably not want to "go nuclear" but will have to say something publically to restore our reputation and set the record straight.

Yes. Some on here want to have their cake and eat it. They want all of the trimmings and benefits of having a smaller and locally owned club whilst winning the treble and dominating Europe. If you want cheaper tickets and a say in what happens within the club, go and support a small local side. I'll stick with the European champions
100%, I bet they used to all sit in the old Maine Stand, once a moaner always a moaner.

All Colin Shindler personified.

It’s another World though PB.

While sometimes it seems like City leave the fans to do the fighting for them I think there is a message there.

Most operations would look at the negative PR we have had for years and wonder why we don’t fight. It’s become apparent that, while the fans might be annoyed, the club itself know it’s all noise and not to get distracted from its targets.

The club being named the Number One Football Brand in the World, despite the noise, is testament that what other people say is having little effect. Khaldoon could have ignored that report, as it’s one of many, but instead he stressed it.

The best way to combat our detractors is to keep on track and not be pulled into petty arguments. The fact that everyone else is trying to throw us of course is a good sign or they wouldn’t be bothered about us. City don’t get bogged down in it like we do and while our competition are wasting their time plotting against us,they aren’t improving themselves. In some respects this does not hurt City.

If there is a lesson here it’s ignore the noise and don’t react to it because that is exactly what they want. Khaldoon would never actively say to the fans don’t get involved but their actions show the way forward. Keep positive and only react when absolutely necessary.

On the field we are winning everything. It might look passive but it’s destroying the opposition. City absolutely know what they are doing and it certainly isn’t being passive and open to humiliation.

What have our American red friends got to show for their campaign against us? Relegated to celebrating a top 4 place and looking to sell their clubs. Now that’s defeat and humiliation.

We are not just winning, we are pulverising them, just not the way you think we should.
Hear hear.

Perfect timing , he's done it all and after having his career threatened by injury not once but twice.

Leaving now with the fans wanting more is the perfect way to go.

Whatever he decides will be fine by us, but we also need to be mindful of the message we can send to other targets in the next couple of years, especially with Kevin also in his last knockings.

I'm tempted to post a match report from a few years back , but data protection forbids me , what league is he still plying his trade ?
Lancashire & Cheshire AFL

I don’t like being too harsh on refs at that level as it’s a horrible job & grass roots football would be fucked without them, but some of them really don’t help themselves

Blowing smoke up supporters' arses as usual.

@Prestwich_Blue is spot on, it's just the hierarchy being patronising.
It’s up to each individual’s interpretation but its far from the message I got.

It doesn’t matter what people say it’s what people do and the CFC are crucifying the opposition on and off the pitch.

Its far from a pat on the head.

His missus is pregnant, she isn't a fan of Manchester restaurants and Gundo thinks his legs might go on a bit longer playing in a less stressful league?

As a free agent he can earn a huge wedge, and he's going out at the absolute pinnacle.

I think the timing is right for him to leave and, much as we hate to lose legends, he will always be one here.

I agree & time for Phil to take the central role.
