Khaldoons End of Season Interview

I've heard this before. We had concrete evidence that Liverpool were mounting what can only be described as a full-scale espionage operation against us.

We apparently sacked a number of people who we believed were carrying that out. I was told we'd see Liverpool execs led out in handcuffs. I'm still waiting. The simple fact is that they're so politically sensitive about the way they're viewed that they won't do anything to upset the apple cart, even if that involves humiliation after humiliation. And that's despite being told that the worst thing you can do is humiliate and disrespect these people.
It's a cultural thing, as we know memories are long in the Middle East they are well known for biding their time

But also remembering we swim in the same water as the rest of the clubs, it's how City make the money that drives the brand, we need Liverpool etc, in order to be the best, if we destroyed or even polluted that eco system it would damage us as well, but their are lots of ways to skin a cat as they say

But the one thing Khaldoon (and the ownership) are, is patient. Always playing the long game

In all of the reading that I do about UAE politics and the people involved in it, "patience" and "long memories" are definitely two of the phrases I'd use to describe how they work. They don't rush in but they always pay people back. Even if it takes a generation.

This year, the Al Maktoum family are beginning to pay the price for the financial embarrassment they caused the Emirates on the world stage in 2009. That was 14 years ago and they only just are now feeling the squeeze as the Al Nahyan's were waiting for the right time to move politically. That's some sheer bloodymindedness.

We might not see the repayment until 2050, but they won't forget, I'll guarantee you that.

Didn't sound particularly positive when he mentioned Gundo and a sympathetic understanding he may have reasons for leaving?

Felt the same. But then, felt similar when he talked about Pep 'making his own decisions' like that a few years ago and he went on to sign a couple of extensions since. I felt the opposite when he talked about Aguero 'making his own decision', and he ended up leaving. So maybe it really is just a case of letting Gundo make his own decision.

And if he does end up at Barcelona I'm sure we'll get the whole, pep and co helped them out and sent him there chat.

He is an absolute class act and we are very lucky to have him.

Chances our he will be right, his previous words of football will decide who where right (against UEFA) have proved accurate.

We are now in with UEFA and you will imagine at some time Ferran will be on the board.

The PL the outcome of this may well be similar and ultimately the club (no matter what we think or say) will want to be a big voice such as United/ Liverpool.

There is no scenario where he goes after a load of our rivals unless we need to.

They will leverage a position for continued success.
“We are now in with UEFA” Any evidence of this?

The BBC Simon rag Stone giving the headline doubts over treble frustrating says our chairman, also the rag mentions we are second team to win treble after his lot and we face over 100 charges. No mention of our chairman talking about our net spend over the seasons or anything positive, complete coont that Stones bloke.
He’s a **** employed by bigger cunts. Despise the BBC.

I’m sure the chairman does not interfere with such matters. Good thing too.

It’s very frustrating for fans that love the club but his softly, softly strategy seems to be playing out pretty well. Some Liverpool senior execs did leave under circumstances that seemed strange at the time. I think one was the CEO when they won their only PL title if I recall correctly.

So in a season when we're likely to report the highest revenue in English football history, and maybe in all history, they've hiked prices up again when there is no financial justification for doing that.

And, if the rumour on here was true, people wanting to watch us play one of the other top 6 clubs will be paying just shy of £100.

And he comes out with all this brash, confident fighting talk in these interviews yet we're quiet as a mouse the rest of the time. He mentioned that we have a small squad yet when have you ever heard our media team say that? It's left to us fans.

I sorry, but it's all bullshit. I'm grateful for what Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon have done for us and am delighted to be where we are now but please don't fucking patronise us.

Haemorrhoids playing up again Col?
