Khaldoon's End of Season Review Part 2 (Pg 14)

Sorry but I'm not gonna blow smoke up his arse. Tells us how much local working class fans mean to the club but every season (bar one) they have increased the prices. And the club have moved long seated fans so they can turn more of the stadium into corporate seats. If you've got the money to absorb the price increases it's all well and good, but if you haven't you've been(or will soon be) priced out and on your arse watching on TV.
They're not running a charity. Football is a business and to be at the very top of the pile (as we are), money has to be spent. And given that UEFA and the old guard have pretty much ensured that our owner can't use his own money at all it has to come from all revenue channels.

I disagree.

I think he’s done extremely well in a sporting/business sense, but I think it’s a stretch to say he ‘understands the fans and has a genuine relation with them’.

Some examples on the contrary (some aren’t signed off by him directly, but have happened on his watch):

- joining the ESL
- seasoncard price rises year on year
- no meaningful, regular contact with City supporters (I don’t consider CityMatters a success. Points of Blue back in the day was better).
- LED advertising boards instead of fans banners (electronic flags, oh my god).
- removing the cheapest seats in level 1 to make room for larger advertising boards.

They’re just off the top of my head.

There’s also a clear disillusionment among many local, ‘legacy’ fans who feel the club are prioritising new, global (and more financially lucrative) fans over their longstanding support.

Again, I’ll stress that he’s brilliant at pretty much everything else, but there is always room for improvement and an decent end of season review shouldn’t lead to us forgetting key elements of our ‘supporter experience’ that have been mishandled.
I think this is a reasonable assessment. It's obviously not easy balancing local with global but times are very tough right now and hope the club understands that

However he is trained to appear empathetic so people like him.

We don’t buy “squad fillers”. Didn’t you even listen to the interview? What the fuck will it take for some of you to realise that this club is in good hands?
It is almost like you didn't even follow the conversation, I was replying to a poster not what Khaldoon said, did I miss the part where he said we were signing Phillips?

I also said we don't NEED squad fillers, not BUY squad fillers, but hey ho.

My opinion ( i take it people are still allowed one right?) is that Phillips is not good enough for our first team and I wouldn't like him to sign for our club.

Also, just where in my post did I say the club wasn't in good hands btw?

ps, I saw your other post about loving Phillips, so why not just reply to me with that post instead of writing that pile of fucking shite you replied to me?

At least it would have been relevant and somewhat of a reasonable debate.

Now, not so much.

That’s a load of nonsense.

They aren’t as good as Rodri but both Rice and CP are really good players. Imagine either of them after a few years of Pep coaching them?
They must be cracking players then.

You say it is nonsense then agree that they are not as good as Rodri, which is what I said, again quote me the part that says they are not really good players?

Not fit to lace Rodri's boots is what I said.

Also, get the guy's name right if you are going to call somebody else's post nonsense.

Just a quick notice for Chris Sutton and the rest of the uneducated about our club.

"Pep isn't under any pressure to deliver the champions league.."
Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Monday 30th June, 2022.
no ambition would be his snide reply
i do wonder how natalie pike gets on withhim when she presents 606 and he goes on about failure in champions league comp
