Khaldoon's End Of Season Video Message To The Fans

Sadly I think some City fans have done that all by themselves.

Yes but their reasoning is that, as Pellegrini didn't pick them, none have a chance, or otherwise he would have. The chairman doesn't think that's true & imo he wouldn't be mentioning that in the interview unless Pep was on the same message.

I think Pellgrini has been out of step with the club.

Shouldn't over-analyse what is said in these things, but it's good that it gets said. Let's see how Guardiola gets on, with some new faces, let's see what efforts the management make with the fans, and let's see what effort levels we get on the pitch. I suspect everyone will be happier this time next year. God I hope so. And no-one is infallible. That must be one of the craziest things I have ever heard.

Totally agree with that, sadly I don't think some will ever feel they can be happy.

The best owners in World Sport, no question. The transformation of our club has been unbelievable, we will never see their like again.

Enjoy every minute while we can.

give us a minute i will find something to have a fucking good moan about

I keep hearing this reference to "words" or talking the "talk" but have the owners really promised something they've not delivered on? They can't go on the pitch and make Toure faster or Zaba faster or Vinny less injury prone. Of course there's NO guarantee of winning anything, but my point is just that they are doing everything in their power to make us more successful every season.

Otherwise if we're talking about people who are unhappy with the kit/badge/flavour of ice cream available at the Etihad - I can't relate to those people. I care about the football. Everything else is a sideshow or window dressing.

Ticket prices is definitely a thing I have agreed with others on but this is a league wide issue not one solely related to City and again, although I think the club could do more, this isn't something which should begin to morph into the kind of entitled nonsense that certain posters in this thread are spouting.

"but have the owners really promised something they've not delivered on?"

Yes, the very most initial promise in the open letter during the takeover to always do what's best for the club's supporters, and do right by them.

The vast increase in ticket prices we've seen since then, to the point where our match day ticket prices are more expensive than the rags, indicate a broken promise.

Likewise, the continued promises to respect the club's history, meanwhile every year club employees are giving the nod to Nike while they routinely churn out kits that absolutely disregard our heritage and identity, and have us turning out in kits that could only be less Manchester City if they were red.

It's obviously overwhelmingly positive given the progress the club's made, but those issues are central to most of the core support, central to the club's identity in fact, and they represent broken promises IMO.

They're very disappointing, in spite of every thing else, and they undoubtedly play a major role in the disillusionment and disconnect with the club that many blues have described recently.

Your point about kits is something of an exaggeration don't you think
Whilst the new kit looks somewhat Iffy, the previous 3 are fine.

Nah, I really don't think so mate. It hasn't been every year though, in fairness. This season's kit was a solid one, no complaints, likewise Nike's first effort where they played it safe.

But the 2014-15 kit was absolutely shocking as well, all sky blue with a Navy trim. First time in our entire history we'd worn a kit that hadn't contained any white whatsoever.

And then you have next season's, where do you even start?

Again I think to suggest the middle one was shocking is over doing it a tad, but each to their own

As for next year's, agreed, if true it's certainly not a City kit

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on the second one mate, in my opinion it was fucking awful. Truly dreadful.

One thing I think we can both agree on is this year's effort and what it says about Nike.

Some of season ticket prices are amongst the lowest in the league therefore we have a range of prices to suit a range of incomes. I know the cost of my ticket has gone up but so has the price of everything. The point is the club have tried to ensure that tickets are priced at a level that is affordable to each fan so to suggest the owners have not done right by us the fans in my view is nonsensical

To also blame the owners because you personally dont like a kit is strange. Kits are a matter of opinion some people like them so people dont that is personal preference. What should they do phone you up and seek your approval for every kit. Why cant I get a say or everyone else? The point is the people in charge have to make decisions about everything including kits. If you dont like them then dont buy them

To suggest any fan that a kit that has changed every year or so is central to our core clearly makes no sense kits change some are good some are bad the point is we continue to support the team regardless which is nothing to do about the fashion statements the players wear

As has been said on here a number of times some people only seem happy when they moan

A tiny fraction of our season tickets are among the lowest priced in the league. The average price that most will play is much, much more that that.

My season ticket has more or less doubled in price since 2008, and will be £800 with Platinum again this season in EL1.

The club has ensured they have token examples of great value for money so people like you can cite them to gloss over the bigger picture and trend which is one of vast increases across the board over a period of years.

You know things are bad when the rags have had their season tickets frozen for 5 years, and that the first time we get a freeze after years of consecutive annual increases it's celebrated as a great victory. Our basic Gold adult season tickets in the South Stand Lower are more expensive than the rags equivalent in the lower tier of the Streford end, they're almost a £100 more expensive if you go Platinum.

Our kit is a central part of the club's identity, all the club suits in the boardroom have to do is ensure there's some continuity with the club colours, and that our traditions are respected. That hasn't happened, and someone is routinely happily signing off these Coventry-esq kits from Nike.

There doesn't necessarily even need to be a dialog with the fans about the kit and club colours, it should just be a given what they are and what they aren't.

What's more, I find it a proper ****'s post for you to just plainly dismiss my comment as a moan, when like I said, the issues discussed therein represent a big part of the club's identity and future.

Truth be told. Your response was the moan, your nose put out of joint by someone with a contrary view you don't like. Bless.

The fact that you pay £800 is your choice so you must be happy to pay it so why are you moaning

How can our kit be central to our identity when it has changed probably 15 times in the past 20 years do you not understand the silliness of you statement. I could understand it if we were playing in a kit from 1894 which had never altered but tell me which kit is central to our identity? Do you not understand that kits are fashion statements for companies like Nike to sell nad make money from and for companies like Etihad to use as walking advertising space they only represent the clubs identity for the year they are used and then another kit comes along they do not represent a big part of our future that is utter rubbish

I was responding to your complaints about our owners I was trying to point out why I believe your opinion is wrong I was not moaning about you having an opinion

And be careful who you call a c""t

I genuinely think you should give up on city or get some help. I have no idea what next season kit looks like. It is what it is. If you are skint get a 380 quid season ticket and bring a packed lunch. But stop moaning. We are about to spend 200 million quid and welcome pep. Be happy.

I live in Dallas so am spoiled by supporting 3 clubs with fantastic owners. All 3 are great and I wouldn't rank them above each other. HRH, Jerry and Cuban are everything a fan could want in an owner.
Even the Texas Rangers are up there since Tom Hicks fucked of.
